thoughts?
I enjoyed it a lot. 3rd best album easily and leans more to the Shugazi side of their spectrum but still probably a Britpop album.
I liked it more on the first listen than I did Slowdive, but the latter is better when you give it time.
The album is best when it's given time to groove, so the long songs are the best on here.
I only listened to it once the night it came out and I was leaning 3/5
Solid comeback
Not as good as Slowdive though
last month 3x3 this board has completely gone to shit edition

New Yachty album was unlistenable imo. Had to take like four brakes to listen through it. Is new 2Chainz worth listening to?
Post one, two or three 10/10 songs from that country that you've been diving into.

Just learned that I really enjoy the sound of classical guitar, but it feels like there are so many styles. Where do I start? What are some of your favorites?
There's a big difference that confuses people alot. It's the fact that classical guitar is way different to flamenco guitar. Even though they look the same.
I would start with Rodrigo y Gabriela. They're a couple who started out buskin' on the streets. They're known for covering Metallica (Orion) and Stairway To Heaven.
Also the guy used to be a metal player so he's got some technique going there.
Songs to check:
- Tamacun
- Ottoman live with master of puppets intro
- etc ...
Pic related, acoustic masterrace
Just listen to the classic pieces by Tarrega, Sor, Barrios and famous transcriptions of Bach and Albeniz played by the greats: Bream, Segovia, Williams etc. From there you'll soon discover your preferred composers and interpreters and you can then delve more deeply that way.
Do you play by the way? I don't think I've ever spoke to someone who has a particular love for the classical guitar and its music other than those who play the instrument, which is a shame really. I find guitar pieces so much more emotive than other classical works, probably because the instrument lends itself to simplicity, and thus pieces are driven by melody above all else.

Williams and Segovia, Braem are some great examples. All shit aside, what do you make of my assumption that people confuse classical guitar with flamenco, latin style music?
Is Kids on Holiday their most underrated song?
no way. Sung Tongs is one of their entry level albums. Kids On Holiday is the reason I listen to Animal Collective. I think its at a perfect level.

>am 18 years old
>never listened to music before except classical music and a few jazz songs
>e.g. I only heard the name "Pink Floyd", didn't really listen to actual music of the band.
Where do I start listening to actual music /mu/? Which genre should I try first? I want to be reasonably knowledgeable about music. How do I do it?
Start by this...
Listen to the white album.

Why did rappers make a big deal out of smoking weed when literally everyone does it?
>>73453482
black drug dealers do time when they get caught.
Niggers aren't what you would call smart.
I think snoop was the only real stoner in rap and still is, you can tell by how braindead his songs are, the rest are just trying to sound cool.
Does anyone from you have tinnitus (ringing/hissing/buzzing sound in ears)?
I have been noticing it a lot over the last month or two and I really don't know why is that. I've only been to a few concerts (one of them recently) and raves in my life. Also, I mostly listen to music with earbuds, but on really low volumes, like 6/100 (as my computer shows) or something like that, you can't hear it when you're 10 cm away.
For those of you who have/had it - did it go away? Did it only worsen during time? Any remedies you know of?
I'm really scared this shit will stay permanently hear. I rarely hear it outside as mostly everything can mask it, but when I come home to a quiet house, it's really annoying. It's not ringing in my case, but more like some grainy buzzing. I have become scared that it will only worsen so I stopped listening to music with my earbuds and listen to a lot less music overall. :/
Might be interesting for some of you
>>73453363
it never goes away
>>73453422
I think that most musicians have it.

Back to r/metal
I don't think anyone has been retarded enough to say that.
Can we make "tupac killed a six year old" the new "john lennon beat his wife" because people really do like to forget that he killed a six year old.
People talk about Gucci being a bad guy all he did was throw a bitch out of a lambo and assault a few people. We all have bad nights but not all of us kill a six year old.
Pac also raped a woman after beating her near to death
and attacked people regularly
was complicit in multiple murders
and it's pretty well accepted he was genuinely insane
whatever it takes to get more pac discussion on /mu/. lennonposting has caused a renaissance of beatles discussions on the board
