>"Will anyone remember U2 in 20 years, I doubt it. And the Spice Girls? I doubt it." - George Harrison, 1997
Was he right?

''Yeah I've heard of them before, I think, I don't really listen to their music.''
>>73537082
more like "Literally Who, 1997".
XXX feat. U2 is a banger.
>>73537082
U2 still have a very large following.
Spice Girls, they're almost gone. Once the nostalgia fades entirely, no one will listen to them.

I like 'em.
Rivers showed that you hit absolute rock-bottom and still come back pretty hard.
>>73536649
Not a massive Weezer guy but they are incredible live. Their live music sounds just as good as their studio music, near perfect. My friend took me to see them live a couple years ago and I was blown away by how good they sounded.
"experimental"

A "good" 4chan post

>if it's not a japanese man recording himself shrieking, shitting on the floor and throwing bricks into glasspanes while a metronome clicks at 666 BPM it's not experimental

I'm going to a gay art exhibition with gay friends tomorrow, and I need gay music to prepare myself for stuff I can talk about. What should I listen to?

I imagine we've got a Gaycore chart knocking about somewhere, but until that pops up I'd just suggest you listen to the B-52s

>us 90's kids, am I right?
objectively 97-02 was probably the shittiest era in the history of music, but yeah, I have a strong nostalgia for some things from that time.

While everyone is recreating the 80's in their music and finding success, Arcade Fire thinks taking it back another generation of music will grant them the same success.
The problem is that the ABBA influence on the lead single is so painfully apparent and executed, no one really wants a disco revival when we have modern dance music, of any subgenre. Plus like I said, this new wave revival that's going on is much more dominant.
I didn't take much issue with Reflektor, but holy shit idk wtf they're thinking with this new direction.
