They are missing a nice opening track like A Quick One Before the Eternal Worm. Also Unholy Life is a good song, but doesn't fit on the album. It's still a great album though, and has a few songs that are the best Dan has ever done.

after years of saying that releasing this song would signal the end of their career against the society of the spectacle they oh so tried to be against while fully being integrated in it, i think after, among other things, basicly insulting the entire global palestinian population as "retarded" for asking them to consider their human rights, and saying that playing "fitter happier" and "electioneering" again would be a stupid idea, even in today's political climate (altho shoving "creep" down our throats once again in every new gig they do is somehow relevant), they realized that they lost all illusion of being a "rebellious", "anti-capitalist", "progressive" band, in the eyes of both their "conscious" consumer audience, and their own self-image. and so they can finally release this song, in all its bad, generic, inbred "rejected oasis demo" glory, without any worry about being "authentic" and "against the rock mythology." they already were, are, and always will be part of it. the only difference now is that they embrace the spectacle, and the mythos of ok computer being an "anti-spectacular" album is finally broken, and revealed to be just the same spectacle it was sold as being against. after all, isnt this how the spectacle always worked?

the psudo-thermin u hear in the chorus is just their version of a flatline beep of their career heading into an apocalypse not even kid a could have predicted. ""the admirable people who personify the system are well known for not being what they seem; they attain greatness by stooping below the reality of the most insignificant individual life, and everyone knows it."

I know this is old but this needs to be addressed

So X was the tenth spot winner, which means he got the most votes by fans (or shills). No suprise, but the issue is, he should've been picked for 1-9, there was no reason for him not to. Look At Me got really high on the charts, all the music news and media outlets were talking about him, there was meme after meme about him and his songs blew up. He deserves the spot more than anybody else (not that he is the greatest, or even close).

This means that whoever got the most votes before him, XXL did not want. They were most likely Young M.A., Famous Dex, Lil Pump, Lil Peep or Ski Mask the Slump God. (XXL already said they didn't pick Dex over his woman-beating caught on camera) They probably thought Pump sucked donkey dick, Peep was white in the year of diversity, and Ski Mask/Young M.A. probably didn't get enough votes.

Also, keep in mind Rich Chigga, Bones, Rich The Kid, D.R.A.M. etc. were not on the voting list, which either means A. XXL denied them, or B. They denied XXL, so don't ask why they aren't here.

We can all agree Young M.A. deserved the spot much more than Kamaiyah. Kap-G, Aminé and Boogie should've been next year.
