this album is pretty good imo. Very inconsistent but has a couple of the best mashups I've ever heard. His other albums are pretty terrible though.
Either/Both musically or/and as a person

could I get some honest feedback on this
are open or closed back headphones better for producing and mixing?
>>73872880
Really into how sparse and spacious some of your sound design is - 0:25 to 0:45 is brilliant
Discordance at 2:09 is noticeable with string synth- possibly intentional?
I'm really into the haunting LFO creeping lead synth you've got. Also from 5:30 onwards your snare "click" is really nice with that short reverb.
Just looking through some stuff I'm wondering whether to go back to and work on, any feedback would be cool;

A Hard Day's Night is their best album. Abbey Road's back half is absolutely incredible, but the first side of the album is comparatively weak. Still very good, though.
I love the white album to death, but it's not cohesive at all. Don't let anyone blow smoke up your ass with weird theories about how the album fits, or how "each member has their own side," because nothing could be less true. That album is the sound of a band breaking up. It's the sound of Lennon and McCartney trying to do separate things while they mostly crush George under their wheels, and throw a rare song to Ringo. It's a mess.
That's sort of why I love it, though. It's got blues screamers, granny shit, an avant-garde sound collage, and a few basically solo acoustic numbers--with basically no warning in between.
A Hard Day's Night is their best.

"Readers often ask me why I did not become a musician, since my essays, indirectly, tell a musician what music he should or should not be making. Other readers accuse critics of being merely frustrated people who would like to be the very musicians and stars they "criticize". Again, in my case it goes back to my passion for history and for knowledge. Pythagora, who had a mystic attitude towards things, thought that the audience was more important than the athletes: the athletes were entertaining the audience but the audience was "contemplating" the athletes, and to Pythagora that was more important. Understanding nature was more important than being a part of it. In a sense, when you "contemplate" nature you manage not to be part of it, to be something else, above and beyond it, almost divine. Pythagora thought that this "contemplation" of nature led to logic. To Pythagora religion and mathematics were the same: the pure mathematician was a religious prophet, and viceversa. Contemplation was the key to understanding the universe, and it led to logical explanation of what the universe is. Logic was so ubiquitous in the universe that Pythagora thought that numbers were the ultimate reality. In particular, he discovered the relationship between numbers and music. Music is logic. All of this was evident to him as the "listener", not as the "maker" of music."
Name a song and I'll convert it to a 64kbps format.

How do people ignorant of music theory listen to music? Wouldn't it just be a bunch of random meaningless sounds to them?
