What are people's thoughts on the Arcade Fire singles so far?
They're in a weird place for me. I would dig the shit out of Creature Comfort if it wasn't for the really fucking awkward lyrics.
I do like the one line

I feel the same about Electric Blue - there's a big schizophrenic dance-pop record in here somewhere, but it's just not quite there.

One really important thing to keep in mind is that "race" literally isn't even a thing. It is true that there are genetic pools with certain dominant traits that create the appearance of there being different types of humans but this is just superficial. It's like dividing people by hair color and asking if redheads are dumber on average or something, it's meaningless garbage meant to provoke aggression and fear. Okay, I've never shared anything before, but I was feeling blue as hell and decided to just go ahead and record something. This is a version of Bob Dylan's Simple Twist of Fate I've been working on. It's still a little rough around the others and singing very softly, almost a whisper sometimes, because it's 11:20pm and I don't want to bug my neighbor. I might redo it some other time when I can really put my all into the vocal part and try to make less mistakes.
