:(

idk. Probably one of a directors more overrated movies that gets all the appreciation because it's more accessible than his early work despite the fact that his earlier works are far superior

It's amazing that this album was made in the 60's. Say whatever you want about it, by the time it was released this is astonishing

No.

It's actually perfectly of its time. It doesn't sound like the '70s or anything.

There was a thread about it not too long ago. Besides, why should we discuss something made by a man who peed on an underage girl?

Essential onioncore
>>
"Real Onion" only consists of the Root Vegetable scene and the late 90's Pickling scene. What is known by "Midwest Onion" is nothing but Alternative Fruit with questionable real onion influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Pickle are not real onion , while saying that Salad Day Real Estate is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake onion as My Chemical Pickle (plus the pretentiousness). Real onion sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat Pickled. Fake onion is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct fruit and beans into music. Some examples of REAL Onion are Pickles 99, Roots of Spring, Cap n Plants (the only real onion band from the midwest scene) and Loma Pickles. Some examples of FAKE ONION are Tomato Football, My Chemical Pickle and Cucumber ONION BELONGS TO ROOT-VEGETABLES NOT TO FRUIT, POP POTATO, ALT FRUIT OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM FOOD

Was Ian Curtis one of the greatest song writers of all time or just a depressed anglo who vented through his music, or both, and was the rest of Joy Division necessary for Ian's song writing to continue
19 posts and 8 images submitted.
>>
I think Ian would have had a long and prodigal career with and without JD a la Morrissey and David Byrne. On the other hand he could have been more of a one track genius like Robert Smith, but who's to say. Also, usually good music is created through depressed people venting, so i would say both.
>>
Didnt Ian Curtis orginally intend for Joy Divsion to just be a punk band? From what I understand, Martin Hannett brought most of the innovation/ vision
>>
>>73977110
Where did you get that from? If that's true, then it sucks even more that he died. The punk songs they did were the best

Why do people pretend to like this shitty format of audio? I don't understand this trend at all.
