Hi, i need your help for a project for uni. I have to analyse the post-/math-rock fanbase in order to make a market analysis. As there are no big bands of these two genres, why not include prog-rock, too. So what would a typical fan of one of these genres be like? Age/Occupation/Interests/Anything
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well if you wanted to do this right, you'd make a survey and ask us to fill it out for a pseudo market sample.
My guess would be
Age: 18-24 or 25-34, mostly male
Occupation: student, un/under employed, computer related field
Level of education: bachelors or below
Interests: drinking, outdoor activities, art, cooking
thatd be too much effort for now.
thanks! why do you think they would be below bachelor?
I'm pretty big into Math Rock,
Age: 17
Occupation: Student, Part time lifeguard
Education: High School
Interests: Winter, Hiking, Music
ITT: post good albums

Goths
I really love this, it sounds totally unlike anything else I've ever heard... why was it received so poorly? Am I missing something here?
The best tracks are just age of adz b sides. The entire middle of the record is ambient and not perticularly emotive or interesting ambient too. The album meanders around and fails to deliver a climax. I like a few songs here, especially the first two but it's not that great desu.

>it sounds totally unlike anything else I've ever heard
then you're a newfag
>I have never met someone who liked grimes and also happened to have good taste; in fact I'm almost certain the two are mutually exclusive
Thoughts?

You like Huey Lewis & the News?
Not just similar sounding, but albums that were the seemingly perfect meshes of genre influences that made that album so special.
none, music is dead
