Great jazz duos?
>>73851487
Can't say I know many duos.
Charlie Haden's album Closeness is good. Him with one other person on each track, the players being Ornette Coleman, Keith Jarret, and Alice Coltrane
Dewey Redman/Ed Blackwell
New one: Tashi Dorji/Tyler Damon if you can get into free improv/noise
Bill Evans and Jim Hall
Coltrane and Rashied Ali
Paul Bley and NHOP
Kenny Wheeler and John Taylor
Tim Hagans and Marc Copland
the SteepleChase label is good for duet sessions
It's a testament to how good Sufjan Steven's music is that no one in an interview has ever had the balls to ask him "so you're a homosexual, right?"
but he 100% clearly is, right?
>>73851459
>but he 100% clearly is, right?
why?
I don't think anyone should care, dude's chill, makes comfy music, never gets into petty drama.
why would you talk about his personal life?
>>73851459
hes not for all we know. why the need to assume?
Last week I heard The Soft Bulletin for the first time and decided to work my way through the entire Lips discography. I skipped the pre-Transmissions stuff, saving it for the end.
At any rate, I just listened to pic related for the first time today and loved it. I've seen lots of negative/less than positive reviews of The Terror, and I may have only enjoyed it so much because I'm just experiencing their discography for the first time.
What does /mu/ think of The Terror? Has anyone had a situation like mine where you find a contentious album more enjoyable than many did who followed the band much longer? And I guess this can be a Flaming Lips general as well.
way better than embryonic. it's definitely one of the lip's best albums
one of my favorite albums.. unfortunately they've fallen off hard since then

why do people keep making these threads
>>73851417
>why do people keep making these threads
To derail discussion and wreck the board. It's an /r9k/ thing.
>>73851365
Normally these threads bother me but that truly is an absolute banger
Any drummers looking to join a band in north GA? Trying to get a psych-punk shoegaze, dream-pop, Industrial, dark-folk thing to happen.
>>73851325
Dont play drums, but where do u guys live and what's your band name? I'm in Kennesaw and I'd love to find some closer bands to me besides delphinium.
>>73851881
We don't really have a fixed moniker yet but right now we're going with Modron's Eye. Don't have anything released yet either but we're recording stuff out of Flowery Branch and Buford.
