Check your local dumpster, fag
This album has some really catchy and memorable pop hooks, but goddamn the combination of those lyrics with the clean nu-metal production is not good. It just comes as of as very immature.
I still appreciate the memorable and catchy hooks tho, there are definitely merits to this album
>>74068934
>nu-metal
it's death metal op
>>74068987
Industrial metal....
Know the difference
its an electronic rap metal record. Nobody ever talks about Joe's contributions on this album
Thoughts on ABRA?
It looks like she needs a bra

Try Gorgoroth - Antichrist
I was a radio DJ, and a music reviewer for a lot of years... and I can honestly say that the overall best and of all time... is Ween.
And the best album from that band came out 20 years ago this month... The Mollusk.
So let's celebrate the 20th anniversary of the greatest album from the greatest band of all time. "The Mollusk"
"We thought of Storm Thorgerson from Hipgnosis, who did Dark Side Of The Moon, the Zeppelin records, and all the Floyd records. He went to art school with those guys. We went to the best, we asked for the best, and Elektra coughed up the money. When Storm heard the record, he personally called me and said, “I didn’t know such a band existed.” He had done a Cranberries and a Phish record recently in the ’90s, and he just delegated the shit to other people at that time. He said, “I’ve found the band with the spirit that I like.” He was so into it, and all the calls came directly from him. He amended his contract to say, “I want to do everything, and I won’t charge anymore. I want to do every poster, every ad, any promo CD, single, picture discs, whatever.” If you go back and find any print adds associated with The Mollusk, all the artwork is unique to him.
We toured in England, and after a gig in London, I think he was with his son or Harry Waters. He got so drunk and must have kissed me 50 times. He said, “You guys are the band. You’re the rightful heirs to Floyd and Zeppelin.” It was the highest praise, and it was real! His assistant said, “You’ve got to understand. He hasn’t seen a show in fucking years. He thinks everything is shit,” which is basically how I feel with age. The record really vindicated us; to get that reaction from the old-school meant so much."

Best Ween album? I don't know man. I don't think I can choose.
>>74068693
I've already chosen for you. The Mollusk.
Is it even possible to hate this album?
If you like Thrash Metal, it's the zenith of the entire genre.
I really enjoy it, not only because it's the first metal album i've heard but because (imo) it's the best album Metallica ever released since now.
Ride the Lightning is way better
I posted something in a facebook group along the lines of "Unkle Adams for new Linkin Park frontman?" and some people were going apeshit, accusing me of "making fun of suicide". I mean, the joke would still work no matter how Chester was killed, or even if he had just left the band. In no way was I actually mocking Chester or his death. Why are people such fucking pussies these atm?
>>74068378
because you are a asshole looking for a cheap laugh
>>74068400
I like my laughs free of charge.
>>74068378
the joke wouldn't work because it's not very funny
Albums you can't dislike but also can't like
>>74068319
Why don't you like it? It was the first BoC release I really got into.
>>74068319
I like it a lot, seems like it gets put down a lot because there's less tension in it than their other releases. I know I sound like a complete faggot saying it, but it's a really good album to put on in the background when smoking lmao with friends
>>74068421
I really like some aspects about it, but idk desu, the tracks as a whole feel like they're missing something. Plus that I think Twoism, MHtRtC and Geogaddi are far superior. I'd rather listen to them to be honest. What do you like about it?
I'm seeing Paul McCartney live on Tueday for his One on One Tour. What should I expect? I was never into his new stuff but I got these tickets as a gift
>>74068243
Get ready for some overrated butt rock music and some Beatles track. The only good that you're going to get is Paul's unusual high energy preformance for his age.
Well, other than being ready to expect the typical tracks from the Wings period and the Beatles tracks from him that got REALLY popular, you're bound to get a mix of quite a few Beatles tracks, one song as a tribute to John, one as a tribute to George (usually Something), and then he kind of just covers most of his repertoire. Expect him to open with a 64-65 Beatles song and to have at least one Wings song and one solo song within the first 5 tracks. He's very energetic, which is a surprise, and he doesn't really discriminate between periods - though, of course, he will lean to certain things. If you're somewhat lucky, expect a Firemen song. Don't expect huge orchestral things - his backing band is a lead guitarrist, a rhythm guitarrist/bassist, a keyboardist and a drummer, and that's it.
It's very much a slightly old-school show, but it's quite nice, the atmosphere is great, he has plenty of energy and honestly the man knows how to please a crowd and to be able to use songs from all his periods into one cohesive show. That said, he has a penchant for songs from Let It Be and Band on the Run, so don't be too surprised if those show up.
There's a quite good live album he did, Good Evening New York. Kinda gives you an idea of the repertoire, although it's never gonna be 1-to-1.
I saw him in Sacramento near the start of the tour and it was incredible.
>>74068296
This is fairly accurate, waaaaaay too much of his mediocre stuff from Wings, would've liked more Beatles or earlier solo stuff.
My dad and I were drunk and kept yelling for Helter Skelter between breaks and Paul actually got pissed at us

What do you guys think about this?

>>74068445
Has great potential. I like it.
>>74068501
thanks anon. You think it needs another synth when the drums come in or would that just bloat it?
I just listened to this, was it good?
sure, why not
>>73876510
cool thanks
>>73876492
north by north is good! i dunno about the rest
What do you think about this album?
It finally clicked to me. Very good.
Weirdly, that's the only one that clicked immediately for me. Good songs with a wide range of feelings. Strange monologue, freaky surgery song, pop songs, too bad about Sister Ray though.
>>74068200
I had to listen a couple times to enjoy it. And I like the early moments of Sister Ray, when it seems to be a simple poprock music.
>>74068283
Yeah, it's fun the first couple times, and I do often let it play for a few minutes, but at the end of the day I'm just a little sad they wasted all that record space on it.
