Perfume Genius is just kinda boring. You're not really missing anything. People just like boring stuff nowadays. If you add a few electronic elements into generic singer songwriter albums people go crazy since they think they're listening to something more than pop.

In all honestly they are probably one of the best pop acts out right now. Torches and Supermodel are both guilty pleasures of mine. People will obviously hate because "m-m-muh poptimism" but they are good. I put them on the same level as Everything Everything Excited for this new album.
