anyone else like jon brion here? his soundtrack/solo/band work is so good, he's super talented.

Caught at the Largo in LA twice before and spoke to him each time. Super humble albeit neurotic guy. I don't where he comes up with it but the sountracks to Magnolia and Punch Drunk Love fucked me up in the best way possible. I just adore his ability to mess with time signatures.
Yup this is a reasonable amount of advertising Pitchfork

Why is there so many rock threads on this board?
I thought spamming was against the rules? Including multiple threads for the same genre.
nigger
>>73962516
Cause rock is probably the most popular music genre.
>>73962516
Because rock is superior, makes a change from all the shit hop that comes on here during amerifat hours.

>ITT: Music that made you cry the first time you heard it
It's almost unheard of me to cry the first time I hear something, but 'Madame George' got me. Don't know why. The only other time it's happened was listening to Gershwin's Piano Concerto in F
>He responds emotionally to art
lol fag
I Only Said
It was playing in a pub while I was in a shit mood. I just teared up.
I saw the album cover on the phone it was playing from, I knew it was Loveless from /mu/ but I've never listened to it before.

need to listen to this album
In this thread we ask about forgotten albums that you wish to find again. If you can provide something like album art, or part of a name combined with album art, some kind anon may help you along and say which album it is. Help a fellow /mu/ out.
Start of with an album of the olden golden days that i cannot seem to remember. The art on the album is a drawing of a garden bordering a wall with a window. The name of the album is something with "through the garden wall", or "into the garden".
i've been looking for a Norwegian song that goes like
"HAN KOMMER PÅ SIN HVITE HEST
DEN VET JEG AT HAN LIKER BEST"
for years
please

Would this be an example of vaporwave? What exactly makes a song vaporwave?

What electroswing is to jazz and 40s culture and aesthetics, vaporwave is to new wave and 80s culture and aesthetics.

it really does! thank you
Just curious about everyone's listening habits. Do you listen to full albums? Skip around to random tracks? When do you normally listen? How often do you listen to new music rather than old favorites?
What do you think of Nightmares on Wax, Massive Attack, Kid Koala, Moloko, Bonobo, Boozoo Bajou, Lemon Jelly, Air, De-Phazz, Koop, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Salmonella Dub, Aim, Moby, Tosca, Thievery Corporation, Groove Armada, Boards of Canada, Zero 7, stuff Like that?

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9-inch springform pan.
Combine slivered almonds, 1/3 cup white sugar, 1/4 cup butter, and milk in a small saucepan over low heat; cook and stir until butter is melted and mixture is smooth, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove topping from heat.
Combine 1 1/2 cup flour, cream of tartar, and salt in a bowl.
Beat 3/4 cup softened butter and almond paste in a large bowl using an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add 1 cup white sugar and continue beating until mixture is light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Beat in eggs one at a time, beating 1 minute after each addition; stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract. Add flour mixture and beat until batter is just mixed, about 1 minute more; pour into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Sprinkle remaining 1 tablespoon flour evenly over batter. Spoon the topping over the flour layer.
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 45 to 50 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
