Gucci Mane has an IQ way above the level of genius.
For entertainment, he watches the films of Fassbinder, Herzog, Truffaut, Godard, Bertolucci, Mallick amongst other even more obscure artists. Long known as an avid reader of philosophy he has mentioned Baudrillard, Dubord, Hegel and Sartre among his inspirations.
He understands the hypocrisy of contemporary morality and street culture and has exploited it to become a millionaire.

What does everyone think lads? I personally think it's his best work since the Massive Attack remixes (and sounds quite similar to it in places)

Welcome back Will. It's been a rough few years for your music, but glad to see you still have the magic.
/mu/ doesn't appreciate Burial unfortunately. most people here can't look past a few criminally underrated dark ambient tracks that didn't suit their preconceived idea of what Burial should be like. they don't give him a chance anymore.
it's a shame because this new track is fantastic

sorry if you hate these threads, I don't use /mu/
I had a song on my Spotify discover thing but I forgot to save it.
I remember it going something like:
"I loooooove my fucking life, I hope you don't call me" something something "I hope you don't fall in love with me"
Not sure if he said fucking or not. But I probably got more of the lyrics wrong since I can't find it by googling.
I wanna say the genre was indie rock or some shit.
I know it's very vague but please help.

Should /mu/ be a place for people with good developed taste or for everyone who is interested in music no matter what their tastes are?
I have personally been into music for about a year now, so my taste isn't very developed. It consists mainly of mucore and popular artists, because I haven't had time to discover more. A lot of the people you call plebs are people who haven't been into music for too long, and have decent tastes despite that.
IMO it's more important to listen to most of the classics and essentials before forming a taste on you own. This one-year period I have gotten into surface level rock/electronic and Hip-Hop, and soon I might get into metal. Next year I might get into Jazz, and the year after that, classical. So, most people with entry level taste might have been into music for a short period, so just let them be themselves and they'll grow a taste on their own soon enough. Thoughts on this?
