Is Scaruffi right? Is Downard Spiral really that good? I looked at the name of this band and assumed it was akin to Disturbed or some other nu metal band from the 2000's, but Scaruffi says that TDS is as good as Piper at the Gates of Dawn and it's better than all of Radiohead's, David Bowie's and Bjork's albums

There's a shitton of Japanese music always shared on /mu/ - post-hardcore, math rock, shoegaze, ambient, neoclassical, and many types of metal.
However, in my 6 years of being on this meme filled shithole, I've almost never seen Chinese music posted.
Even at the present I only have 4 artists total: Happy Avenue, Enemite, Tang Dynasty, and Chthonic. All of them are entry level as fuck from the looks of it, but where do you even go to push deeper in?
Why is it? I don't think the nation itself stifles creativity in that manner, maybe it does.
