Boys, I need your help because google isnt doing shit for me. I heard the song "Light up the Night" by Protomen last night, and I need more. That 80's style power (style?) just gets those goosebumps going.
I want to find more songs that are similar. Tried starting a radio station on a few different applications with that song, but they seem to take it as me wanting similar styles to "Protomen" not this song in particular.
holy shit
Wipers are great, especially those first three albums. Greg Sage is a god who should be more known than he is.

This is a really good album - totally on par with their prime 90's albums. Which is a remarkable feat.
It strikes me that Dino Jr. often makes sorrowful, mournful music even as they are blasting loud and rocking hard. The only other band that does that as well that I know of is Drive-By Truckers. Try my favorite of theirs, The Dirty South.
I need more that is just like this.
>>74095648
wow i never see drive by truckers mentioned on /mu/. i should listen to that album. i liked southern rock opera. do you like old 97's?

How would I go about extracting album art from .mp4s? I uploaded two albums to youtube a while back, and I neglected to keep the album art on my desktop. The art was the highest resolution available on the internet, but the website that hosted them has for some reason stopped hosting them. Specifically the album art for Shipping News - Very Soon And In Pleasant Company, and June Of 44 - Engine Takes To Water. They used to be on okmusic.jp.

I've only listened to The Holy Bible once and totally forgot about this song. It's quite well-written, musically and lyrically. Thanks, anon.
Like Beefheart but actually good. Also, is Tim Buckley the best vocalist of all time?
>>74095086
hes definitely got the best range of any vocalist ever, or at least of any ive heard. his weird high pitched squeaking doesnt float my dead father if im honest but this album is still better than tmr
>>74095086

How much better would they're discography be if Syd Barret never left?
>>74095028
Worse
Syd's solo albums are great, but by all accounts he competely fell off the edge by the time he started recording for his third. If he hadn't have gone insane, maybe it would've been better. Would've been able to hold back Roger's extremes at least.
