Is this the GOAT slowcore album?
Gravenhurst - Flashlight Seasons
lord kill the pain
I would fucking kill for a reissue of Love, Claire s/t
That album is so incredibly rare
What does /mu/ think of Health?
fantastic pair of albums
fantastic Max Payne score
they fucked it all up with Death Magic though,
like fine if you wanna just make the noise pop take on EDM bangers that you've been teasing at for years, but fuck 70% of the album sounds like the same song over and over
there's even one track which is a blatant retread of Tears from the MP3 OST it's shameful
even as a big HEALTH fan I could not convince myself this was good
with Jupiter dropping out of the band almost immediately after it's release, there must've been some stigma going on between them causing the album to be pushed back for so long
we ended up with Get Color again but worse, missing it's bite
the glossy production has completely erased their identity and energy
s/t and Get Color will remain classics though

will he review something this year? will he ever give another 8 or 9?
>>74328662
Yes.
Probably an 8 or two at some point, a 9 is unlikely
>>74328662
He will give Brockhampton's Saturation a 8

wow rude
where are they now
Any Wire fans on /mu/?
I've been revisiting their first three albums, and can't decide which one the better work of art.
Let's discuss their work here.
>On Returning is the best song on 154
>>74328334
Shameless self-bump.
Does /mu/ still listen to Post Punk?
I always liked Chairs Missing the best of the three. The production is really exciting and the songs are still as agressive as Pink Flag.
Can you give me recs for anything of their later albums? I listened to Change Becomes Us a while back and thought it was good, if a little underwhelming
>>74328334
Do they have any albums worth listening after 154?
Also,
Pink Flag > Chairs Missing > 154.
>2009

A journey of a lifetime

Arcade Fire has released their latest album on a fidget spinner/USB drive for one hundred and nine united states dollars.

anyone who buys this should be heckled and bullied
well it doesn't get much more sold out than this
>b-but my i-ironic fidgespins
okay bud
Arcade Fire has never been good. Maybe now peoplr will realize this
>listen to album for years
>over time listen more closely to lyrics
>paint an entire story in my head based on the lyrics
>find it really interesting, relatable and emotional
>after years of this, look at the actual lyrics
>many of them are actually not what I thought
>songs are about completely different things than what I thought
>don't enjoy the album as much now
anyone else know this feel
this is how I feel anytime I listen to a catchy song then realize the lyrics are about being gay
>>74327931
...such as?
fuck man this happens to me so often and it never diminishes in how awful it feels
just this morning i just realized i don't really fuck with gavin degraws "I Don't Want To Be" despite it being my favorite radio tune for so long. But after reading the lyrics... it's so self righteous. I always thought he said "All I gotta do is think of me, and I'll be someone"
which I took as "just focus on yourself and your goals and there is no way you won't become someone of worth"
but it's really "All I gotta do is think of me, and I have peace of mind"
which is basically saying "im perfect and flawless and whenever I feel troubled I just look in the mirror" so whatever
however; Jimmy Eats World's "The Middle" is still pretty sound in it's philosophical message. There are not a lot of songs on the top 100 or w/e that have a net benefit to the society.

other than that its pretty accurate
How do I get into Jazz
>>74327845
Kind Of Blue is usually the popular answer.
But it has nuances that could fly over most beginners.
I say Black Saint.
Easy. Not as complex. Jazz record.
