The second American football LP is better than the first. Butthurt people who like entry level emo will not tolerate this fact.

ITT: Albums with great music but cringey lyrics
all of them because lyrics are shit

The lyrics are fun. They won't win any awards, but they do the job, and it's fits the music.

If you "listen" to albums while browsing the internet and think you can properly appreciate them that way, then literally end yourself. Get off the fucking computer and try fully immersing yourself in the music.
I mean, it's not like you to pay that much attention to fucking around on the internet.

Hey /mu/, I need help finding an album. It was some kind of jazz/ambient or something released in the mid-to-late 70s and I think the album cover was a shot of a house at night or something of that nature. Does that sound familiar to anyone?
most definitely jazz/ambient, 1977
well, perhaps not so much on the ambient side
>>74352374
thanks but that isn't it. The cover photo was definitely taken at night and I think it was taken from a little above the house
What genre is Bill Wurtz supposed to be, I can't get enough of his instrumentals.

lloyd banks had bangers tho
what was your reaction to this when it came out?
I'm not really liking what we've heard from Villains so far, reminds me too much of Era Vulgaris which I also didn't like, thought it was too silly.
But this record was just the right amount of grim, gritty, down-to-Earth depression and it's honestly become my favorite QOTSA album now, I don't think Homme will ever top this unless he goes into another drug-induced-comma again.
One of those albums to listen to on the beach for me
Not anything special or profound about it.
I loved it
>>74351034
You didn't find anything particularly gripping in the lyrics or the feel of the album?

Grimes is essentially the kurt cobain of our generation.
>>74350901
>For a long time I had this theory: the impossibility of a female Kurt Cobain. What he represents, leaning against the system and yet supported by consumers, there was no woman in the world that could command the masses so utterly. The music industry wouldn't let her. This thing I've been stewing about since I saw Grimes play to 20 people in 2011, and started reading her Tumblr, and then really starting feeling when "Oblivion" came out, is that Claire is the closest thing we have to a female Kurt Cobain, smart enough to understand the system but righteous enough to wall-jump away from it. But also, interestingly, what an inversion her approach is to Kurt's. His pose was anti-establishment, her pose is post-structural. He was rigorous, she is always looking outward, game for genre-experimentation and hilarity. I feel like even if I don't like her music, and I do so far, I will always feel like she's several steps ahead of me, several books ahead of me, and that makes me feel really fucking good. Anyone who gives her grief about anything can kick rocks as far as I'm concerned.
>>74351253
hahahahahahahaha
>>74350901
How so, please explain, is she deeply depressed, constantly doing heroin, over emotional about everything, and ready to eat a 12gauge?
Never was much of a romantic
I could never take the intimacy
And I know I did damage
Cause the look in your eyes is killing me
I guess you are at an advantage
Cause you can blame me for everything
And I don't know how I'mma manage
If one day you just up and leave
I'M LOST IN THE WOOOORLD
BEEN DOWN MY WHOLE LIIIIFE
