hair metal was a thing. Thrash was heavy. The reason why they arent know at the same level as antrax and megadeath to the mainstream is because they tuned down on the black album. They became the bad you use to introduce someone to a "heavier" metal they might have known, but not to heavy that it might tune them out.

In regards to the question, I don't really think about where I'm going musically, I just kinda do what I do. Professionally, I think I'll be known as a part of the midwest experimental scene. I'm pretty sure I'm opening for Dalek and Street Sects later this year (I've already opened for Dalek before) and I'm working on setting up a tour with my buddies free jazz band.
