"Well, I still think rock and roll is a Judeo-Negroid thing, originating in Negroid music and artists such as Elvis Presley and bands such as The Beatles (including Ringo Starr), and promoted by guys like Brian Samuel Epstein and Allen Klein. Rock and roll promotes a primitive and destructive lifestyle. Metal can be seen as a subgenre of rock and roll, and thus metal is not much better. However, my musical roots lies in classical music first and foremost and I don't promote a Judeo-Negroid lifestyle. I promote a classical pre-Christian and European lifestyle. So I don't worry too much if Burzum is metal. It's a metal blade in the heart of the enemy beast... "

Who is the best rapper lyric wise?
Aesop Rock, at least according to this chart I saw a while ago on r/hhh
GZA/Genius, Nas, or Shing02.
>>74397820
Unironically MF doom. While most celebrated artists like Nas, Biggie, Kendrick etc. have decent wordplay and concepts, they only extend so far, only on occasion extending outside of the same certain ideas. Doom has a whole other universe going on inside his head that just can't be matched when we're talking about wordplay
Why is it wrong that I enjoy more traditional music and not mashed together sounds?

You can't just say it's b8 if you disagree. I have my own opinions unlike 99% of this board, so don't treat my opinions as fact.
How the fuck do I listen to music /mu/? Every time I try and listen to an album, my attention wanes part way through and I either start thinking about random shit or do other stuff while the musics in the background. How do I become an involved listener goddammit
Lay on your bed and listen to the music. Absorb it.
>>74397729
do this, do it on drugs
>>74397729
>>74397792
Isolate myself from distractions to focus on the music? In retrospect that's horribly obvious, I'll do it!
It's the first of August.
The point of these threads is to encourage people to look for new and interesting music. We do this by listening to and ideally discussing albums we've never heard before. Many of us already listen to new music daily, these people are in it to venture "out of their comfort zone" by listening to albums they otherwise wouldn't have, or just to have a good time.

Wonderful album too.
Hello, America, would you please stop producing degenerate videos like this that infest my country?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGLxoKOvzu4
It's literally omnipresent where I live and played everywhere. I don't even know what delusion liberals have entered that they can align this with their feminism propaganda but somehow they can and the other day I caught my 9 year old niece watching this.

No, you have other problems, problems that make my problems look like benefits.
But still, please stop.
>Determined to form his own conclusions, Greenwood listened to the likes of Genesis, King Crimson and Pink Floyd, "though I didn't even bother with Yes, seeing as how they were met with so much derision."
>"It is all awful and terrible," Greenwood says, his brown eyes widening. "I found the one good Pink Floyd album, 'Meddle,' which is amazing, though that's supposedly the one that made Johnny Lydon say he hated them. I came out after listening to all these terrible Genesis records with the realizations that the Mellotron is a great instrument, and that you should never have a song with 'unicorn' in the title. So a few lessons were learned."
What did he mean by this?
hes an idiot
>make indie rock shit
>doesn't like prog
no surprises here
I like their music but why do Radiohead's members insist on being such snobs ?
How am I supposed to enjoy this if I really only like classic rock and metal? I've listened to it several times and I don't like at all? What do I do?
listen to something else
just don't. you should skip all the indie bullshit and start listening to real folk, blues, jazz/avant garde jazz, and funk. also stop listening to metal. you'll thank me later
>>74397631
Why should I listen to things solely for the approval of others? Why not keep listening to metal because I genuinely enjoy it?
Does /mu/ think Tool is a decent band?

I bought this album in unused CD for 4$ at some weird music thrift store by a mall, and I never heard it previously before that.
It's fucking glorious, I was very pleasantly surprised from not hearing a lot of Bowie material outside of Ziggy Stardust and his other hits.
The title track is one of the best things he'd ever done.
bought exuma for 15 bucks. amazing album and i'm generally confused on why this board never discusses actual good black music like it
>>74397382
Are you joking? Exuma is one of the only "black" album this board unanimously loves.
