Really tough to pin a single song down as his best. I'm torn between Avalanche and Famous Blue Raincoat

>constantly have to look over his shoulder to make sure he's not writing songs that belong on a children's tv shows

>paul then decides to announce to the world that he's leaving the band and it was his decision to break it up

As Fall approaches, I get more and more in the mood for spooky and haunting music. What do you have, /mu/? Been listening to Matt Elliot - Drinking Songs all night.
>>74437115
I don't know about creepy stuff...try Lustmord I guess or Ambient 4: On Land.
I like relaxing music during fall, try pic related and dig into some singer/songwriter material (Damien Jurado, Nick Drake, Bert Jansch etc.)

F#A#∞ and Deceit
Just started getting into them too
>>74437162
Lustmord and Nick Drake are my jam. Thanks for the recs anon.
I guess I wouldn't describe Matt Elliot as completely "spooky and haunting", but his music does have that quality. I guess it just fits fall more imo.
I also find Her Name is Calla's music to fit that bill quite well

>Wait, are you saying that Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly isn't the best and most culturally relevant album of our generation since My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy? Ugh, I don't think I can be friends with someone who's alt-right
Accurate post.
Haha, sick :)
literally no one thinks this
At what age do people grow out of music? At what age does listening to college kid music scene indeh girl music start to get embarrassing?
I can understand being obsessed with classical music and music theory and the process of it all, but aren't "bands" for juveniles?
>>74436865
There was a study that said around early to mid 30's. Sounds plausible.
>>74436865
Classical music isn't any different. Music as a whole is pretty much a toy.

So I've never heard a Radiohead album but everyone says they're really good. I listened to "Creep" but that's the only thing I've heard. It's alright but not enough to get me to start listening to the band. Are they really as good as people say? I've never heard their music but I think they kinda suck (in my opinion). If people seriously think I should start listening to their music I might do it. I just always figured they were a meme and nobody actually likes their albums. Kind of just a band to circlejerk over but never listen to.
Please, serious replies only, I want to read some actual opinions instead of a bunch of immature shitposting. I know "Radiohead' is kind of a beacon for shitposting and meme-comments though so I might be asking too much.

They're ok. If you like abrasive alt rock listen to Pablo honey if you like more experimental stuff listen to kid A
It just really depends what you like. Listen to a few albums
Or if you don't like albums try listening to karma police and go off that.

yeah we know, that's why we're not talking about it
so let's disregard qotsa from now on mmm'k?
Haven't listened to it but I believe you. I heard the first single a few times and if that's what they chose as one of the best songs from the album, the rest must be meh. Is the rest of the album produced like the first single? I found it weird that such a guitar driven band that, in the past, has thrived off their loud, heavy, guitar riffs chose such a week sound this time. I think it's also turned down lower than normal in the mix. This is the song I'm talking about. Not a horrible song but not single material imo. Just a very weak guitar sound this time.
