>Guitar tutorial for a song on YouTube
>Video doesn't start with the teacher immediately playing through the key parts of the song to show how it will sound
>Click off video immediately

The worst tutorials are the ones where they go "just play it like this" and then just fucking play it without explaining what "this" is
>when you realize that you share a board with people who watch guitar tutorials on youtube
>>74284185
Only to learn songs to cover, not techniques. And only very rarely. I used to watch synthesia videos to learn things on piano when I was like 13 or 14
It's still AOTY

My grandparents used to listen to this guy but I never paid much attention. For some reason I remembered him and looked up his songs today. Is this guy based or what? It's somewhat cheesy but still fucking hilarious. What does /mu/ think?

Despite the electric guitar, the drums and the vocals, much of this double album is avantgarde and jazz music. Its relationship to rock music of the 1960s is, ultimately, limited to the instrumentation. With just one album, Can pioneered several genres that would become popular in the 1990s: industrial music, noise-rock, trip-hop and post-rock.
explain how it pioneered trip hop or industrial music

Seconding this

scaruffi said it, therefore it must be true.
scruffy is a genius.
Who /Bayreuth/ live here? They have Siegfried on right now and it's pretty good
>that one fat bald guy who reviews music
Every knows a version of that guy

What does /mu/ think of Stereophonics?

GAY! UP TOP
not as good as plunderphonics
>>74283866
I must agree
I refuse to believe that this is as bad as everyone says it is. Anyone have a link? Or have you guys already deleted it from your harddrives because fantano and pitchfork told you to?

We don't like arcade fire here
>>74283746
Why would I save shitty indie disco to my hard drive in the first place?
>>74283746
its not exactly hard to find a link of this shit, guy
Is there any advantage of a lead singer/fromtman not playing an instrument live?
Less work and pressure but also less money because you have to pay someone to fill a role you could fill yourself instead
ITT: This.
Why is funk "white people music" now?
>>74283632
Because Hip-Hop has usurped Funk's position is the primary black genre
>>74283632
that's not very true imo
sure most bands feature black and white musicians now, but if you spot more white than coloured people in the audience you're probably at some kind of commercial future funk even or vaporwave or whatever event, not a funk show
>>74283632
>caring about suntan levels
not even bait, couldn't get past 9 mins without cringing
>>74283618
if you dont mind me asking, what specifically made you cringe
>>74283747
the voice
>>74283771
I think most of /mu/ identifies with the cringeworthiness of the voice
fuck nardwuar
What does /mu/ think about The Pillows?
Also J rock thread~
Runners High is their best album. Anyway, great band, they have a really nice style of power pop that mixes punk, guitars that go from clean and jangly to dirty and distorted, and some really good songwriting. Kind of remind me of Big Star.
>>74284823
Little Busters is their best album
>>74285205
Second best. Great songwriting, but they explore more stuff on Runners High.
