What is this gay shit? I said fast.
Who is the Andy Kaufman of music?
Lou Reed or Zappa.
>>74298110
Me, Andy Kaufman
Trying to remember the name of a Christian/Gospel rock band that had an album somewhere between 2006 and 2008. The frontman had curly hair sort of an afro or dreads maybe. Might have been black or Hispanic. Can mu help me out? And also I can't remember the name of a song or artist but the beginning of the song has a bass riff and when the beat kicks in there's female vocals singing what sounds like "oooh.... ooooh.... oooh ....oooh" with a higher pitch for the two latter moans.
P.O.D?

No but good guess. The ones I'm thinking of have a much brighter and "uplifting" sound in their music.
I'd say my bloody valentine when you sleep tonight

also please recommend some nostalgic emo or country songs, looking to listen to that music
This whole album. Makes me feel like im in the womb again
Heliosphan - aphex twin
Ivy - these hidden hands

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Sorrow's Child
Certainly feels nostalgic to me
Flood>Absolutego>Feedbacker>Amplifier Worship>=Akuma no Uta
I did as you guys suggested and listened to Feedbacker since you said it had a similar tranquil set up and then chaotic climax like Flood, but ultimately I didn't feel they were on the same level.

>Within weeks of the release of More of the Monkees, Nesmith lobbied successfully with the group's creators, Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider, for the Monkees to be allowed to play their instruments on future records, effectively giving the quartet artistic control. To make his point clear to Kirshner, who was balking at the idea, Nesmith proceeded to punch a hole in the wall of a suite at the Beverly Hills Hotel during a group meeting with Kirshner and Colgems lawyer Herb Moelis, declaring to the latter: "That could have been your face!". This outburst came after Moelis snapped to Nesmith, "You'd better read your contract", when Nesmith threatened to quit. Kirshner was later dropped from the project altogether
A HEY HEY WE'RE THE MONKEES
Fun Fact: Did you know that Sugar Sugar was originally slated to be a Monkees song?
Mike Nesmith was so against it, that after Don Kirshner left, he got together a fictitious group that consisted of studio musicians and named them The Archies and got them to do it.
