I'm having trouble making something I'm proud of but making instrumentals forever is just as lame as being a bad singer. Should I just give up becuase there are tons of bad singers that find fans.

Most people can find the voice that suits them I think. Bob Mould wouldn't win any singing contests, neither would Ian Curtis or Greg Sage.
Look outside of normal music, I think punk offers many vocalists who use grit, or emotion that manages to convey emotion better than a stellar voice. Of course being a great singer can help, and I have nothing against musicianship.
Just find your voice, but look to others for inspiration/ideas.

Did you try doubling up on your vocal track? If you make it sound like more than one person is singing, it sounds much better because all the h a r m o n i e s

Would music be better or worse if rock's primary influence was latin music instead of blues? For dad rock, Santana's really good, and I love latin hand drumming for both it's rhythmic creativity (relative to standard percussion) and timbre.

Admittedly prog would suffer, which is a major downside for me, but most of classic rock is off-limits to my taste because of what I consider to be bland blues-inspired instrumentation.

I’m really excited, will be great to have a happy album from her again. Glad it’s coming so soon too, thought we’d have to wait until next year. There’s not many albums I’ve really liked this year, hopefully this makes up for it.
