>Acclaimed indie band leaves renowned indie label for huge conglomerate label
>immediately turns to shit
why does this always happen
because the label wants money
This didn't happen to Death Cab imo like it did to other indie darlings at the time like Modest Mouse
>become an adult and realize that indie band was always shit
why does this always happen
Guess personalities, rate, rec , etc.
As a start, can someone sauce me this?

This always
im pumped. Run for Cover, The Man and Wonderful Wonderful are all too good right now
Run For Cover was great (unironically one of the best singles of the year in my opinion) and the title track was pretty good but I didn't like The Man at all. I'm a bit scared because Run For Cover was supposedly written around Day & Age too which means the rest of the album probably won't be anything like it.
Anyone else notice Wonderful Wonderful is a DIRECT rip off of a U2 song and Rock On by David Essex?

I didn't really like The Man until I saw the video and also heard them play it live as a more straight rock song than the overproduced Peter Gabriel sounding single.
Seeing them in January, not a huge fan but my bf is and he's pumped so I'm gonna eat a cap and be pumped too.
>we're going back to our roots on our new album
>band plays a song from each album in reverse chronological order for their reunion tour
what's your fav gbv song

Give me 1 (one) reason why Coltrane isn't the greatest musician of all time. Pro-tip: you can't.
>>75077398
You were given plenty of reasons yesterday in this same thread.
>>75077470
holy shit you cant, haha
First you need to list and explain all of the attributes by which you measure a "musician"
Otherwise don't expect anyone to take your shitposting seriously.
