Anthony Fantano recorded and released a hip-hop album in 2015
No, Cal Chuchesta did, he's Fantano's room mate
Yeah and I was feeling a Light 2 on that record. Fucking trash.

>Anthony fantano
???
Don't you mean Cal Chuchesta?
I don't think Anthony had anything to do with it
Give me some fairytale style of music, thats bright with flutes, and colorful, sort of like 60s disney music , maybe even with some synth element like pic related
Idk if i should go to /r/ or not but i remembered a song i loved but i cant find it, someone from Soundcloud made it. The song is from the movie "Her", it has the ukulele from the "The Moon Song" but the vocals from the "Are these feelings even real" scene of the same movie, but i cant find it anywhere. BAKING SODA I GOT BAKING SODA
These fuckers put out 7 elite albums in a row.
All killer, no filler
Musicianship: 10/10
Songwriting 10/10
Re-playability: 10/10
Everything: 10/10
7 perfect albums in 8 years.
Not a single bad or even mediocre song in 8 years.
IS there anyone else who comes close to this kind of sustained excellence?

Ever heard of jazz?
>>74358937
I've heard of Steely Dan but never heard of jazz.
Get bent, Elmer.
Be specific, who are you thinking of?

Almost all jazz musicians were incredibly consistent, until they started playing "smooth jazz".
This is a thread for Aphex Twin's album SAW II, or other generality. The other day, he uploaded the missing-meme-track "Stone in Focus" to his online store, thus effectively completing an official digital quality release of the album. Further, Richard has also uploaded a great gloomy bonus track "th1 [evnslower]", which fits well with the rest of the album.
This got me thinking back about the album artwork and the confused versions of the releases over the years. Basically the pie chart design is supposed to indicate track lengths over six sides of three LPs in the complete version, but since the complete album's full length runs over 160 minutes, it is impossible to squeeze it all onto standard, old-school CDs (the redbook convention for standard CD optical media is a max playing time of 80 mins on one disc). And since no one could ever be fucked to do a proper 3xCD physical release, hence the missing track.
But anyway, even the album artwork is fucked, now that I look at it again and compare it with the complete album (no matter which version you might think). Specifically the "middle" pie-charts of platter-LP 2. Unless some other weird linear combination of tracks (and track lengths) was understood by the designer at the time.
So now that the meat of the OP has been posted, I can attempt to re-post helpful links which had been part of the body of that post, but which were incorrectly identified by 4chan's system as being spam.

4chan's system error is now identified. The system wrongly identifies as spam, the following helpful link which is germane to this discussion:

got you covered bro:
We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy
I just want to tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand
Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
We've known each other for so long
Your heart's been aching but you're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it
And if you ask me how I'm feeling
Don't tell me you're too blind to see
Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
We've known each other for so long
Your heart's been aching but you're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it
I just want to tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand
Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
>deals with it and moves on

Does anyone have any recommended artists which are similar or related to Susumu Hirasawa?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6wwtZXGta8
Tomogatchi Hanzo Genji Ichiro Suzuki
His guitar style borrows a lot from Robert Fripp. Early P-Model sounds like XTC circa White Music.
As far as solo stuff the only thing that's coming to mind is maybe Bill Nelson.
Hey fantano, if The Money Store and To Pimp A Butterfly are 10/10, how much do you give this album? 12/10?
I think he has this as a 9 on his RYM

Has an album ever made you cry /mu/?
Not because it's depressing or hits home, but because it's so inherently beautiful.
No? You were crying for like 40+ minutes are you undergoing estrogen therapy or something wth
This one
Tbh Josquin des Prez - missa Pange Lingua but I got high before listening to it.
Bluegrass thread?
I just started getting into it, listening to the soundtrack from this movie. Sandmountain especially is fantastic. Recommend some good bluegrass, discuss, etc.

He's smarter than your average bear
I went to film camp. I've read Sartre. I've read Thomas Pynchon. I've read Ayn Rand. I've been to Italy, I've been to France. I speak French! I've been to Spain. I've been to South America. I've been to Kenya, I've been to China. I backpacked across Europe.
I prefer tea to coffee. I've been to Greece. I love Greek food! I'm a foodie. I'm always on the look-out for a great little place to get breakfast. Sometimes I go to Barnes & Noble and lose track of the time. The black people that I've met... say that I have a lot of flavor.
I love my MacBook, but I also love my MacBook Pro. Because it has the word "pro" on it. Short for "prolapse". I drive an ancient Volvo that barely starts.
The Matrix and Inception are the first movies in the last ten years... that made me really think. Yeah I paint, no big deal. I think conventional painting rules are stodgy, archaic.
To bend the spoon, you have to realize there is no spoon. Think outside the box. Coexist. Coexist and one more thing: if you don't know the difference between "your" and "you're", "you're" and "your", you're a fucking idiot. Get the fuck off my Facebook wall.
And yeah, AntiWarhol is my favorite RYM user. I've met God and guess what: she's black.
I saw a real bear today.
