start with a basic beat, just kicks and snares, then pick out a key you want to play in, maybe look up the different "atmospheres" of each key to help decide. Then listen to various chords in that key and just pick a starting point, one that you like. Then pick another chord that sounds good after that, and so on until you have like 4+ chords. There's your progression. Do the base note of each chord as a synth pad, work on a melody that fits with the chords. Once you have the keys down you can fill in the beat to fit the music better

It's too loud, to the point it's losing dynamicity and to the point it's clipping. Stay at -6 dB as a peak target until you know what the fuck you're doing, don't level up everything to 0.
Here you'll find it normalized at -18 LUFS (true peaks -10.3 dB) with loudnorm.

You'll hear only two differences: one, the volume is just a little lower (but that doesn't mean shit) and two, a lot of headroom that could have been used... is not there. Because you clipped, and you level'd up everything to zero, dumbing everything down.
