give me one good reason why this album isnt /mu/core ?
>>74413444
It's mad by a popular artist
>>74413476
so is a lot of /mu/core
/mu/core is a pointless term and no one autistically makes /mu/core charts likes its 2012 anymore
why does /mu/ like to neglect the r&b genre?
all u kids do is think frank ocean and maybe d'angelo are the only ppl who did it.

Now that the dust has settled, what was the best thing that came out of vaporwave?
Eccojams or that 2814 album

Why can't this dude just stay out of jail? What the fuck is his problem?
P I G M E N T
He's black
>>74413224
I'm not some rock fag and I'm always open to new hip hop artists, but I cannot fucking stand Kodak Black. I mildly enjoy Skrt, Young prodigy and Tunnel vision. And I've listened to everything put out him and it's borderline unlistenable. Also I'm pretty sure he's not in jail right now
>>74413214
Underrated desu
They weren't as good as the cream of the British Invasion lot, but they were certainly a cut above most

Is this album overrated in the Battles discography? Have you warmed, or become cold to La Di Da Di, or maybe Mirrored?
I think Gloss Drop is still great, but I find Mirrored or La Di... a more interesting and "rewarding" experience.
>>74413033
Naw I dont think its overrated, Gloss Drop was a great comeback after Tyondai left the band. Its some great grooves on there too.
>>74413086
The vocal guests kind of distract me from the grooves a little, Tyondai's voice worked so well with the weird noise Mirrored had. Would you prefer their next album to be a better La Di Da Di, without guests, or an album with guests again?
>>74413127
Naw, I think La Di Da Di (or whatever it is) is deffo the right direction for the band. I don't really mind the occasional feature, but I think they'd be rehashing ground they've already covered if they did another feature-heavy album. Besides it'll probably be a couple years before another Battles album.
When are Young Fathers finally going to blow up?
>>74412911
>poor man's shabazz palaces
>>74412911
Probably never, they pretty much already peaked popularity wise. I was there for their rise and still forgot about them
>>74412942
young fathers are more popular and just better in general
