maximum emotional impact
This is actually a pretty good album. It has real emotion and has some fun bangers.
Thoughts on it?
Creepy art though, it's a dead fetus.

10/10 album, even better with the track Hallelujah added as the closer (it was a bonus track in some countries).
is our postmodern culture killing music? i feel like all of contemporary praised music has to do with 1. being a minority / struggling with identity politics 2. bending toward our skewed and brainwashing political agenda
>trying to merge a board consisting of nazis with a board consisting of commies

Is this where Ariel Pink got his sound from?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuf3rD_pczs
>>74436768
Probably, Ariel is a hack that stole much of his music from various musicians over the years
>>74436768
>someone finally posts Nick Nicely
I love this guy so much
but
you're quite wrong: very different sound, themes, influences, etc. Nicely only aims for a dub-y psychedelic new-wave and tons of sound FX.
Check pic related for something REALLY close to Ariel Pink (glam slick new-wave with a big bass, hazy synths): The System is pretty good too!

so i was born n raised in korea but have since moved away. So ofc I have a lot of exposure to modern k-pop and I do enjoy a good bit of it. However, I realized at some point that I have more knowledge and enjoy more japanese music. I was wondering if any of you have recs for good korean music whether it's recent or from years ago.

Man, I've tried so hard to find stuff that captures the same feel as this, but nothing quite hits right. Other good Psych stuff from that time you could check out though:
Soft Boys - Underwater Moonlight
Nick Nicely's stuff. He had one really good song in particular, Hilly Fields. He has a comp called Psychotropia or something that you could check out
>>74436625
Also check out the Dukes of the Stratosphear albums if you haven't
Teardrop Explodes and Julian Cope have a few stuff that sounds a little like it as well
>>74436671
thanks dawg, dukes of stratosphere was p. good, will check out others later
The patricians choice for artist of the decade
Babyfather is too shit
All of his projects are complete garbage that appeals to pseud tumblr teenagers, same with that Inga Copeland hack
Worst of the "Weird Frontier" musicians desu

black metal is a really good album. hes getting carried a bit by inga copeland and joanne robertson though.
Have you listened to our queen today?
I was actually listening to Born Ready To Die. Apparently I must've downloaded it like 5 years ago in a stupor. Terry Urban's an absolute madman.
>>74436514
No. I'm a massive fan of lana because of her music, not because I'm a pathetic waifu-fag. As good as Lana is, there is a whole world of other music out there and it's important to consume a diversity of sounds from different artists and genres.
You should try expanding your tastes anon, you might be less pathetic.

If she lost some weight maybe I would, till then I'm stuck listening to Kate Bush.
Hi everyone, Anthony Fantano here.
