What is this album missing that would give it a well-needed quality boost?
A lead singer named Bruce.

Nothing because it's perfect. Thanks for another tribute to it, Mark. You're on a roll.

literally a 10/10 album, it's perfection

I've yet to listen to any of Charles Bradley's work, so I'm not really one to judge based on it.
there are a lot of Latin American anons on here and yet I can't think of a single contemporary band from any of your countries that I listen to or gets any press coverage. now is your time to show me what you've got.

"Go to school kids. Education is important"
-Gucci Mane entreats the youth to study hard
what a guy, what a guy
what a guy
Gucci Mane has an IQ way above the level of genius.
For entertainment, he watches the films of Fassbinder, Herzog, Truffaut, Godard, Bertolucci, Mallick amongst other even more obscure artists. Long known as an avid reader of philosophy he has mentioned Baudrillard, Debord, Hegel and Sartre among his inspirations.
He understands the hypocrisy of contemporary morality and street culture and has exploited it to become a millionaire.
Gucci Mane knows the secret to success is knowledge. Thats why he makes 5 million a day (5 million a day!?)

I genuinely don't understand this criticism of Mr. Bungle. Do their fans run around saying "egg" or something?
No. I don't even like their s/t.
>>74475533
Wait I’m starting to think i dont know what mr. Bungle is.
Its not an old reggae / dancehall tune everyone’s been talkking about?
>>74475621
No. It's an Avant-Garde metal band
Technical Death Metal is becoming the modern equivalent of classical music.
Bands like First Fragment, Spawn of possession(rip), and Obscura have all taken pieces/modes/styles/techniques of classical music and expanded off them like no other genre could pull off(Or that I have yet to see anyways).
If you don't like Death Metal but appreciate instrumental proficiency please give some of these a try and I bet you will be consumed into the genre.
If you aren't new to the genre, post which Tech Death metal bands you've been listening to recently. Im looking to expand as much as possible into the deepest depths of the genre.
I'll also be fine with Melodic death metal.
Starting us off with something for the Musical Normies. First Fragment is a heavy band, with probably the most classical influence out of any other tdm bands out there. BUT, this is an instrumental of theirs, so there's no vocals. Give it a try.
First Fragment - L'entite

Next get into something more progressive, less "face-fuckingly brutal", but it's an adventure just listening to it.
Virvum - Illuminance

Okay, full "face-fuckingly brutal" on this next one. Archspires vocalist gets A LOT of his influence from Tech n9ne. Was supposed to see them live in Calgary with Psycroptic but a storm came rolling around the same day and made it dangerous to travel to Calgary. Rip.
Archspire - Remote Tumour Seeker

PUT DOWN THE CANDY AND LET THE LITTLE BOY GO
>>74475428
His top is on inside out.
Why am I just now discovering this? Why isn't this as acclaimed as Discipline or Red or ITCOTCK?
HEALTH FOOD FAGGOT
>>74475356
Too instrumentally focused for plebs, and the long sections of noisy improv don't help
It is acclaimed with fans, it's one of their more popular ones just not their very best.
Is Jefferson Airplane the best psych-rock band?
