I just put the finishing touches on my "cinematic trilogy" score of imaginary films. I was going for a semi-ambient, dreamy, and unsettling vibe. Each installment has a slightly different feel to it. I guarantee there's a lot of music on here that you haven't heard before. I learned a lot putting them together. So here goes:

Where do you guys place it? It sounds a lot like their old stuff mixed with Modest Mouse and Radiohead aesthetics.

You forgot Daisy.
>>75093726
The order their albums came out is actually what I think of them from worst to best.
>>75093833
Same here, rarely happens to me

She's (((Italian)))
Albums with the most relatable songs.
Something incredibly comfy about this entire album. Is it nostalgia? Is it's ability to capture the essence of the UK in the mid 2000s and the beginning of Indie rock's golden era?
I wish I knew.
>>75093712
That was not a good album.
Why do I think Tenacious D is one of the greatest bands of all time?
>>75093676
REDDI.T
>>75093676
because they are
>>75093676
Saw them at Boston Calling, pretty funny and I usually hate comedy rock
>Just as boring as Singles
You Pitchfork worshiping morons have killed my favorite band.
Really makes you think
Is Sufjan Stevens the Aaron Rodgers of music?
The real question now is who is the Elliott Rodgers of music
What film has the best score?
what are your favorite Zappa albums and what are good ones that aren't the most popular?
Fuck yes a Zappa thread.
Hot Rats, Apostophe, Were only in it for the Money and Sheik Yerbouti are obviously the best well known stuff. Personally though, I think nothing beats Joe's Garage. It was my intro to Zappa and remains my favirote album of his.
As for the most "obscure" Zappa I like, you can't go wrong with Yellow Shark.
>>75093660
Yellow Shark - one of the finest examples of his classical music, played by a competent orchestra.
One album I don't see mentioned often is "The Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life". Late Zappa, live album, big horn section and great arrangements.
Recently started getting really into this stuff, does anyone have any more psychedelic tracks or albums like this?
https://youtu.be/dxukaECb2Cw
I also like the Jahtari style of dub with modern video game type synths
https://youtu.be/dxukaECb2Cw
I just listened to Prince Jammy's Kamakazi Dub. It was nice but I was browsing though most of it so I didnt get a lot of detail
>>75093566
yeah that can be an issue, lot of tracks sound v similar if you're not paying attention which is why i find the jahtari stuff so interesting.

bumping for jah
Which one is the most talented?
Objectively, XXX followed by Peep, then Pump. But they're all shit.
>>75093512
Theyre all garbage rap(e) music makers. Fuck em all
Wish they could all be crucified
Albums that do not get talked about enough on /mu/
why this dude got like 50 different names
>>75093528
Because like most black people he was trying avoid paying about 70 people their owed money
So this is just /mu/core merged with black metal. This is weird.
I don't think this is black metal, I don't even think this is metal.
That being said, it's very interesting music, props for originality. Will definitely listen again really soon.
t. nu-male
i love deafheaven :] theyre my favoruite band!
>>75093501
It sounds like shitty screamo shoegaze or something. Listen to Darkthrone or some shit if you want black metal.
>First half is amazing
>last half gets progressively worse
>finale song is just garbage
Any recs for music similar to the first half + Song for bob dylan?
>>75093482
>finale song is just garbage
I don't know how someone can have such an awful opinion.
>>75093517
Likewise
>>75093482
Honestly after I watched The Life Aquatic: With Steve Zissou I exclusively listen to Seu Jorge covers of Bowie songs in Portuguese.
>pete best
>not even the best member

He was the best member idiot
>Paul McCartney
