not sure why people hate Regine's vocal performance on it, for me it was one of the most tolerable songs on the album. probably one of the three or four best tracks from Everything Now but given the overall quality of the album it's still like a 5/10 song
Anyone else here miss Rilo Kiley? :(
>>74503584
More than a little bit. Not such a fan of Jenny Lewis's solo projects either. Blake Sennett, on the other hand...
you'll fight and you'll make it through
you'll fake it, if you have to
:)
Nah they were getting worse and worse. Jenny's new stuff sucks.
Do I get hipster cred for liking this album?
No, it's pretty popular.
>>74503527
of course
>pretentious pop album from former member of an acclaimed hipster band
please you already knew the answer
Listen to this one if you want Hipster cred.

>The wealthiest generation
>Technologically illiterate, so you'll know they won't pirate your music unlike those pesky millenials
>The generation most likely to buy an overpriced vinyl
>Stuck in their old ways, so no need to invest in risky experimental ventures and talent , just keep feeding them the same old music from their youth days.
>Many from this generation are still willing to fork out a fortune to see aging has-been stars live.
So why aren't the music industry targeting old people anymore, when by every metric, it makes rational sense?
>>74503506
They're also the largest generation
because generally people keep listening to the music they discovered in their late teens and early 20s
it's like you're not gonna target education to boomers who probably aren't interested in it even though they can afford it more easily than the youth
>>74503506
Because they have hearing loss and they don't care about fads.
Albums you like from genres you usually dislike..
>AND WHAT ABOUT YOUR FRIENDS DO THEY MAKE YOU HAPPY?!?!
Are you gong to pre-order Lights' new album "Skin And Earth"?

what the fuck is this shit
a fucking movie where flumpf shitlords invade brooklyn with tanks and attack helicopters to kill hipsters for not liking kid rock or something
Let's talk serious about this album.
The songwriting is impeccable. It's way too brilliant to let become marginalized into a meme.
I feel this album has made a serious impact on me and I don't think i'm the only one. I feel it touches my very soul, though I can't fully understand why since the writing is so cryptic.
Does anyone else feel like this? Any thoughts?
Please refrain from shitposting.
Many people have had the same experience with this album

the album as a whole has a great fuzzy sort of feel, like a word that's just on the tip of your tongue. the instrumentation is very nice. i dont like it as much as the average mu poster seems to, but i do think it's a fantastic record. i do wish the lyrics weren't so ambiguous, but maybe that plays a part in the mysterious quality of the album
>>74503363
For me it isn't something for me to come back to often, maybe in a few years or so, but it is a strangely impressive album.
