Why did the music industry sperg when this man died? Literally who the fuck was he? Sure he founded ASAP group but never even had his own album.
I mean look at his fucking Wikipedia page. Its probably 500 characters long, yet when he passed, a shit ton of artists tripped out. I dont fucking get it. Do you???
>>74603816
He probably just had a lot of mates in the industry, and hip-hop has a very strong community element to it where even a lesser known artist's death is a big deal to those involved in it
>>74603816
He overdosed on grape juice, a rare death
A lot of people loved him and he was probably the only reason why a lot of the member's albums were good in the first place. Notice the decline in quality after he died, especially with Ferg.
is it bad that every jazz song i hear sounds the exact same

i really want to get into it but i can appreciate it further than just normal background noises

Still Ill [Hatful] > Still Ill [s/t]
>>74603652
Although Still Ill is one of the songs where the difference between versions is the least flagrant, I am of the same opinion. The Hatful version is most definitely better produced and I really like that sick harmonica overdub in the intro and outro.
The only track where I'm on the fence whether I prefer the Hatful version or the s/t version is This Charming Man. The s/t version has the cool intro and the stop in the middle while the Hatful version is just super comfy. What are your thoughts?
>>74604059
Hard to choose. I think prefer the s/t version of Charming Man. It just has a bit more energy to it.
Still Ill from Hatful rules. Love the harmonica.
>>74604059
the guitar in the verse is a little more interesting in s/t, and the intro's great as you said. hatful version just has less in the verse. however the mixing is better, and this really shows in the chorus, and I also think the slower tempo works better for the chorus. you can hear every note so clearly, whereas it's kind of muddied on the album.
if s/t had been mixed by Troy Tate it would have been better.

Name one English-speaking pop artist/band that has never used the word "baby".
Hard mode: "pop" as in "popular"
The Smiths
>>74603297
I mean, in the sense that you imply. They used it literally to mean a baby once or twice.
>>74603297
"Girlfriend in a Coma" used it.
what are /mu/'s thoughts on them?

They make music and are a band. So there's that.

Reminder that this is jewish propaganda
Ehhh, I mean I'll rather believe it's just one dude who wrote some music and whom it didn't hurt to drop a few WWII references in there, subsequently becoming a meme pushed by actual jews

It's written by a jew
