To be clear I'm not saying the beatles are "kid music" just that I really enjoyed them when I was young and they helped keep me happy and get me into music in general.

Pitchfork hates the newer UK bands so much. If the band doesn't have a black man coming out as a gay along with r'n'b sounds then it isn't good.
They will never give Everything Everything a good chance even if they realese the best album of the decade since one of the masterminds of the website is Ian Cohen who hates them so much he put their debut a 4.0

7.1 is a good score from pitchfork. It means worth checking out but not essential which is the majority of all good music honestly, most of it is in this category of worth checking out but not essential
