Any good music to study to? Preferably before the 2000s if possible.
Also study thread I guess.
check out Aphex Twin if you haven't. I find that IDM helps me to stay focused where music with vocals can sometimes be distracting

>when they clean the street, i'll be the only shit that's left behind
Obviously pic related is a great album, and I like some of the songs they've done since, like Go, I Am Mine and Do The Evolution. But most of their stuff just seems to be bland, middle of the road stadium rock.
I've always felt that they weren't in the same league as Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins.
I think they're pretty crap, Eddie's vocals annoy me plus their poppy style is probably responsible for all those buttrock bands that followed like Creed and such.

>I've always felt that they weren't in the same league as Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins.
That's because they're not. They never progressed as a band and never wrote any good songs aside from a handful on that album and Vs. Do The Evolution was only good because of the music video and Given To Fly was not bad either but it's so forgettable.
Anyways their song Release has a special spot in my heart but honestly the band is trash. Vedder gets on my nerve too.
>>74611408
This is true. That wave of late 90s/early 00s buttrock were clearly influenced by Pearl Jam.
>>74611434
Yeah, I feel people say they're better than Nirvana just to be contrarian. Like how people say Blur are better than Oasis (except Blur are consistent and aren't just one album wonders like these are.)
They're still a decent enough band, but for one from one of the greatest eras ever for American rock, they pale in comparison to their peers.
King Gizzard is streaming their's new album on Facebook right now

For me, it's this. I received it as a gift a few years ago but never bothered to listen to it until yesterday. I can't believe an album as good as this was in my possession for so long without me knowing.
