Honestly, what I find happens to me more often (which can be frustrating when I try to figure it out) is more often hearing bands rip off other bands...like lots of rock bands stealing lyrics or riffs from other bands, it disgusts me because you know they use it so for a moment you feel familiar as if you already like their mediocre band before you realize the thing you like isn't their's

With new technologies come new techniques. The art is the same but the sound definitely changes, now we find tools that we don't understand how to use yet we produce and forget the loose.
The tool has never been understood but it's not a problem in the neighborhood, we go around, drilling and plumbin' the earth, creating farms under scientific dictatorships that bring us linear logic thoughts.
So we replace quickly the schools of thought and bring such line that's about "it works, it doesn't work", "it rhymes, it doesn't rhyme" and so get go thinking binary like for everything and forgetting about the details that are so important for our worldview and mental map.
So what?
