>after Pet Sounds, Brian Wilson had intended to follow-up with another ambitious project, called Smile. However, only a washed-down version of it was released in 1967, called Smiley Smile. The reasons for the failure of Smile have been speculated by many over the years. The true reason, however, is that Brian Wilson had a mental breakdown when he realized he would never fulfill the purpose of the album, which was to celebrate an healthy lifestyle, which was aomething Brian Wilson was obessessed with in the late 60s. When he realized he would never have the strenght of will to change his destructive ways and become healthy at last, Brian Wilsom cracked down and failed to complete what would be his magnum opus. Seriously, fuck that fat fuck for eating fast food all the time. I mean, the fucker was addicted to LSD back then, and still managed to get fatter and fatter!? How the fuck is that even possible!? Fucking piece of shit! Should have died of Hamburger Overdose back in 1971!
Depression/bipolar/schizoaffectiveness is a hell of a drug
>the fucker was addicted to LSD back then
>lsd
>addiction
You don't even know what you're talking about.
I don't even listen to the Beach Boys and these stories of what could have been make me sad. Same thing with The Who and Lifehouse.
Anyone listen to Yung Lean's new music? It's fucking shite but his music soundtracked my junior year of HS 2014 so I have a special place in my heart. What do you think of him?

He makes r&b now
His singing voice just isn't good imo but aesthetic still

Is it possible that Taylor Swift is about to drop the greatest experimental pop record since Homogenic?

Repost from Patricianposting
>>74663999
Miley doesn't fit in this pattern at all.
At least with the other 3 (even though I don't like Taylor) there's a clear pattern of acclaimed album -> experimental album.
Miley never had acclaim.

what the fuck is patrician posting
I bet those hoping for a return to her pre-S/T style will be utterly disappointed. Her new shows are even more extravagant than her S/T shows: https://mobile.twitter.com/odkysyk/status/898999273127161856/video/1
I'm extremely ok with this being the direction of the album
>>74664444
Me too. I love extravagant Annie.
Her new show looks lifeless, but it's not like she will come to my country any time soon
So I've listened to all of aphex twin's music/side projects/collabs
>AFX
>Knob twiddlers

Now what?
explore the lore
>trying to get into aphex twin
>all his stupid track titles flaring up my autism

If you do that check out acts he was friendly with, they all have similarly huge catalogues and have had big influences on each other so their styles overlap here and there
>Luke Vibert

Where were you when you realized Leonard Cohen was superior to Bob Dylan?
Sticking right here realizing you're a ducking IDIoT
>>74663900
The day I turned 18.
Listening to Leonard Cohen for the first time
>don't want people to see their faces
>everyone knows their faces
what did they mean by this?
>>74663889
Even though they were electronic, they loved rocknroll and loved the concepts associated with it. Nothing about watching two numales live is rocknroll, so they wore costumes. A lesson that many new indie bands could follow
more bands full of catchy and fun to play riffs like black sabbath and led zeppelin?
>inb4 pleb

Budgie.
Blue Cheer.
Aerosmith.
Saint Vitus.
First started to listen to Kyuss in the early to mid 90's through my older brothers collection.
Bought the self-titled it was the first album I ever purchased.
Rated R and songs for the deaf were next level adrenaline drone rock masterpieces.
Lullabies was step down but still super-atmospheric and menacing.
Era Vulgaris was a bit cheap but had amazing songs
...like clockwork was bland but lyrically heavy and had some awesome guitars
I'm struggling to find positives for this new album.... its short, lyrically juvenile, lacking guitars and drums ...I mean it's funky but there is very little left of the old queens magic.
I'm sure it will be lapped up by teenagers and Josh fanboys. (he has turned into a full blown dick)
>>74663874
Extremely well put, Anon (I have the same history in terms of knowing this band).
I feel the exact same, it's like Josh made a decision to try and be more commercial, to make more money, instead of good music
They sold out, and now they are shit
They have always been shit. You're just maturing. It's ok, don't try and fight it.
>>74664333
they aren't shit, i just don't understand why the fanaticism is growing. it's an okay album, 5-6/10
>>74664691
iv considered this of course, rater -r and sftd are definitely great albums
>go to local patrician scene gathering for the first time

How do I join the patrician scene, /mu/?

dont say it
i'll kill myself
>Will you cry when he dies?
Who won't desu.
Honestly that's gonna be the one funeral to rival the Queen's funeral, especially if he's the last one to pass away.
