What'd y'all think of the interview?
>"Anywhere we weren’t able to explore just leaves more places for future episodes and seasons to play with."
>"JT: I would have wanted to spend more time building towards Twilight’s Princessdom. Set it up early on and give tiny hints to the possibility."
That's all I needed. 10/10, would poni poni again.
That's what they said at Hasbro Investor Online Conference two years ago. Worst case scenario that means S6 is last season followed by the movie in 2017 and direct to video sequels in 2018 and 2019, but I'm guessing we're getting more seasons.
>This bullshit again
Headcanons don't count, nor does what she's said in interviews. Point to anything, anywhere, in the episodes preceding MMC that even vaguely hints at alicorns being manufactured, then we can start talking about the details.
Hell, even the director disagrees with you. Why would he need more time to do it if it had already been set up?
I hope it just ends after S6 and the movie. I want to leave this place already
Seriously, extending it isn't good, neither to us nor the show
I dunno. It could work if they tied up all the Mane 6 character arcs and then made a G4.5 show set in the same world, perhaps after a timeskip, with FiM character cameos.
It would reset the show for a new generation of the target demographic to start on while keeping the incidental demographic interested as well.
But you already are, Greg. In my heart
I want to leave, but that doesn't mean Im strong enough to get off the ride, ever
>"...and some I can tell are just trying to get more views. Those are the WORST because it’s clear they’re only piggybacking on the hype of the show for their own benefit."
>Tanks for the memories handling the concept of death
> "Yes. It’s a touchy subject that most people do not want a show like ours to tackle, but it’s actually better sometimes when you can’t do it head on. It forces you to be more clever and use metaphor and subtext rather than just be right on the nose."
I fucking told you all back then
>"it's a children's show! Youre just an obsessive neckbeard xDD"
>I’d like to think that classic storytelling driven by strong, well-rounded characters in storylines that are meaningful and emotional while also delivering laughs will always work. There are plenty of shows that just focus on being as funny as they can as often as they can, and I just can’t connect with them. They’re “funny” but I just can’t care about them enough to keep watching.
I love this guy.
is all i care about
i have had a cold for a week and 2 days barly get any sleep cause of the constant coffin
the first 2 days i was crying in pain
thank u anon for the link it made my day
Pretty cool. Good that he's working on the movie.
>Is Hasbro more or less pushy about adding certain things these days? We saw a lot of product placement early on, but aside from the upcoming swan boat, the concept seems to have waned over time. (At least, I don't think I remember ever seeing Applejack with a pink truck in the show.) Do they give you a lot more freedom than they used to? Or do they still influence a lot of what happens?
>JT: Hasbro is a toy and entertainment company, it’s inevitable that the two will meet. They’ve been very reasonable when it comes to how toy designs make it into the show. We try to make them fit into the stories as flawlessly as possible. I’d like to think we’ve gotten a bit better at it over time.
Them i guess /mlp/ isn't going to get deleted anytime soon, good for us i guess
>friendship castle will never look like this
It still hurts
I remember there was a headcanon around CSC that the castle would grow with friendship magic. Each time a problem is solved, it'd grow a little bit, then in the end it would look more organic and tree-like.
I dunno, it looks pretty comfy when covered in snow.
It's because it makes it look lived-in. The basic crystal castle thing is a cold, unfeeling, shiny thing filled with sharp angles and flat backgrounds. This shows it with a personal touch on it, though - someone has gone to the pain of decorating it with softer-looking decorations.
The problem is the fact that what makes it look good is solely the decorations. The basic palace is still shit.
you're forgetting how long the hiatus' between each season go
if they stick to the pace they keep. at the end of the 5 years we'll have two to three seasons beyond season 5 and, maybe a couple EqG films and that 2017 film
That comparison doesn't really jibe.
Now, if someone in anon's immediate family died and was almost immediately replaced by a shallow, heartless replica of the dead one and anon was expected to love the newcomer just as much as he loved the dead person...
