>>26168297

>>26168960
well jewtube won't let you watch the disney version unless you pay for it
but it's called "The Little Match Girl"
set in Russia about a peasant girl trying to sell matches to survive, it does get pretty sad.

>>26169010
Oh fug I remember reading that story in elementary school.
>>26169010
>>26168297
Come and with me and hear a simple story.
What you see is as sad as can be, a child cold and alone at Hearts Warmth Eve.
In a land filled with promise and no harm, this little girl suffers with nothing but matches to keep her warm
She cries out to her parents but they were never there, tell how you think she will fare
...
If you wish to help then I shall not stop you, may happiness befall on the you two.
>>26169019
Same here, I remember the first time I read that I actually stained the book with my tears because I was like 8 years old when I read that shit. A lot of old time fairy tales where like thatBTW I recommend reading Little Red Shoes and Blue Beard, those are FUUUUN fairytales to read to your kids I can guarantee!
>>26168297
I'd take her in, give her a good warm home and warm clothes, and something to eat. Then I'd groom her to be my little sex slave.
>>26168297WHAT DO YOU THINK, ALBERT?

>Both Pratchett and Christopher Lee are dead
How did it go from>>26168297
to THIS?
>>26174551
you'd be surprised
I'd help if I get some pussy, if not then she can fucking freeze to death, or starve to death, whichever happens first.
>>26174551
It'd make a pretty cool story, Starlight being saved from the streets and growing into the cult leader we know her as. Too bad that flashback showed her in a pretty well off neighborhood.
>>26175742
This doesn't mean it was always like that.
>>26168297
Since the backstory for Starlight was slightly underwhelming, I came up with a headcanon to make the departure of Sunburst more important.
I think it should be that before Starlight meet Sunburst (as a REALLY young foal) she was like OP's pic: homeless and parentless. That was until she meet Starburst and became best friends. She became reliant on Sunburst's family for food and warmth. However, when Sunburst left, his parents kicked Starlight out, and she was homeless again.
I hope that S6 will have Sunburst return, and while maybe not like my headcanon, at least tries to make Starlight's past more tragic.
>>26175742
>I think it should be that before Starlight
>>26176962
>>26177854
I think it depends on what you want to achieve with her backstory. Are you trying to make her sympathetic or are you trying to make her more villainous?
>>26173945
>implying Christopher Lee hasn't taken the mantel of DEATH and will greet you with his soothing, baritone voice when your time comes and words of reassurance to the value of life.
>>26168297
>Be Anon, autistic blacksmith living in Buttfuck, Russia
>Walking down Buttfuck Avenue towards your place of work, the blacksmithery
>You wanted to work at night because there were no proletariats or bourgesioau normalfags out at fucking frozen midnight
>See some stupid bitch sitting in the snow
>What a fucking retard, warming herself with matches while wearing no shoes
"Hey! What the fuck are you doing out here?" you ask
>"I'm afraid to go home." she says quietly
"Well where are your shoes?"
>"I don't have any..."
"Lost them to a crowd of thieving moors, I suspect."
>"No, I'm just poor."
"You should've voted for Trump, then."
>>26168425
no, degenerate duty is not epic
>The little match girl
Fuck yes. That story traumatized me, as a child.Ok, I would keep her warm with sex, but that's another thing.
sad story
you hear it as a child and you think how wonderfully magical it is.
Then you think about it as an adult and... damn.
>>26177998
>you hear it as a child and you think how wonderfully magical it is.
WHAT'S MAGICAL IN A LITTLE ORPHAN GIRL FREEZING TO DEATH WHILE HALLUCINATING OF A BETTER LIFE!?
FUCK YOU, ANDERSEN!
>>26178015
I think the point that the danish sadist tried to make is that kids have this cooping mechanism that enables them to believe in things that makes them feel good.
>>26177995
>Needing sex to warm up loved ones
>Not being big, burly, bear-man who can warm people up with your sweaty, muscly hugs
>>26178052
>"Oh dear, look that poor little girl!"
>"I-is she dead!?"
>"...yes. What a tragic fate..."
>"Uh, wait."
>"What?"
>"Dear, look: she's smiling!"
>"Aaaaaah, that's way better. Well, case solved."
>"What happened sir?"
>"Nothing, Jeeves. Just the corpse of a little girl"
>"That's horrible!"
>"Relax, she was smiling"
>"Ah, pheeew."
