So since mlp is so popular in latin america and appears to be to a lesser extent in russia.
Do you guys from there watch the show in english or your native language?
And why do you watch it in that language?
>>26102535
In English, cause that's the way it was meant to be.
>>26102553
>>26102606
No seriously, I tried watching it in my native tongue (spinach) and couldn't get half way through due to me laughing at how fucking weird it was.
>>26102535
in english, i dont like the latin voices and this song dont have sense.
even in spanish

Engrish prease.
>>26102676
>>26102686
So you watch english so the memes will make sense
>>26102767
Are you retarded? It doesn't sound awkward as fuck is what I'm stating. I can gets subs for all I care, but that won't replace AJ's sweet accent.
>>26102806
>can't take a joke
It sounds bad, i get it
english
spanish dubs aren't what they are used to be, they are good but not as good as the english one, this applies to most movies and games released post 2005

I heard the latin translation was made by fluttershy's VA, and she managed to translate all the songs by herself and only herself, that's why most song don't make sense.
>>26102649
> my native tongue, spinach
I know it was a typo, but I fucking lost it.
>>26102649
Understandable. No matter how well you try to dub the show, it'll always be extremely weird to hear it in your own native language after getting used to it in English.
>>26102676
Latin voices? WTF why they translate it to a dead language
English because mostly the VA's garbo, but also because the names arent translated.
It seriously peeves me when they speak in a very monotoned swedish, only to sudden go TWAJLAJT SPARKELL!
English.(FUCK RACKOSEL'!)
English, for the memes

>chile
la wea fome
>So since mlp is so popular in latin america
Really? Never seen little grils wanting to watch the show or buying the pony toys. I also never seen a single brony or casual fan around here. If anything, little girls want those ugly eqg dolls, judging by how much of it there's in the stores.
I've tried watching it in portuguese once but it was just so awful. It looks like the dubbers didn't put effort into it. The songs in particular are too painful to listen. The only good thing to come out of it was that the same guy who dubbed Goku dubs Shining Armor as well.
It might be me just being me though. I've always preferred to watch movies / series / cartoons in the original language rather than the dub.

In English, because if I got good enough language skills to watch the show or a movie in English, it would be foolish to not use them.
It's gives a little bit of practice for me and a better understanding of what show is, without distortion from translation.

That's my comrade, you see. He is displeased with our official dub (by a group of people "Carousel" or "Merry-go-round", as he should be). So he combines words Carousel and cancer, and says our nickname for that group: rackosel' ("Cancersel" or "Cancer-go-round").
Just decided to clear that up.
I went to Peru to visit family two years back.
One of my younger cousins left the tv on with MLP playing so I just start watching.
Then my aunt changes the channel stating that
>You wouldn't like the show
I just say thanks to avoid spaghetti
>>26105455
>"Talking shit about mah ponis, aunt?"
>>26105448
>Cancer-go-round
>>26106195
Welcome to commie land.
But seriously, russian dub is shit. Horrible voice actors with annoying voice pitches, complete inability to properly show emotions in their work and absolutely shit translation. The first time Twilight meets NMM can be translated as 'you are the moon pony! Moon pony!'
