Well, Tumblr hadn't really gone over the edge yet at the time, or at least the parts I was interacting with hadn't. The website and the girl seemed to go bad together. It's a shame- she was as much a fan of MLP as I was. She still is, she just bought too heavily into the politics of the internet and the idea that because some people who called themselves bronies were bad, they must all have been. Seeing what happened to her is a large part of why I don't share the views a lot of /mlp/'s anons have on the name. It just sounds like the same principle of throwing the baby out with the bathwater. The fandom will always have bad parts, but it's better to judge on an individual basis than to set up categories of fans who are inherently right or wrong.
