Yes, but some are far more talented than others, just with math. Also theory: I'd like to imagine that earth pony strength isn't just literal brawn, but endurance as well. This is why you don't have unicorns or pegasi working the fields, they would certainly have the strength to do it for a while, but they would eventually tire. This is also an advantage in body building, where it would be easier for an earth pony to become stronger since they can work out longer. Nothing would stop another race from becoming just as strong (look at bulk biceps) but it would take much greater effort.

On the subject of Alicorns, any one explain what's the purpose of them in the series? The 4 main ones are Princesses and I can remember 1 off the top of my head that was a background character in season 5, yet had no princess title, so what's the big deal with them?

Seems you only get that status from things like power and enlightenment, yet we have random ponies being Alicorns just because variety?
