You seriously fell for that? There's been nothing shown more than a few models and a single shot of a mall and a restaurant. It's a shitty excuse to keep people waiting without actually having to provide anything. If LSA never made that statement, he would have lost his relevance a long time ago. Telling people that they should assume the game is being worked on, without proof, unless stated otherwise was idiotic at best, and disingenuous at worst.

The project was decided in ... late 2013? It was a bit after the scruffening right? In the next following months, we had a few threads, mostly to talk about body style, LSA doing a few backgrounds, then we had 3 character reveals threads separated by a few months, with a quickly made demo in the middle.

And after that, nothing. Nothing in over a year.
Of course there's a rush of creativity at the start and then it goes more steady but you'd expect at least SOME bits of info in between, it's not like Hasbro stalk this board and they have much to fear posting news here.

Please have him do so. My problem isn't whether or not it's still being worked on. My issue is that it's a dick move to constantly tell people you're working on a project, provide almost no updates whatsoever, never communicate as to what's going on, or what's being worked on at the moment, or any hangups that have occurred, then act surprised when people assume the project's dead and all they're supposed to go on is your word. No, he doesn't have to reveal a screenshot every time a new scene is written, but a simple "we got our first character arc done" would be sufficient.

I could be wrong, but from my perspective, it seems like this project is completely disorganized and they have nothing to show for it, or Smutty is just doing the bare minimum to keep all eyes on him, and remind everyone else that yes, he is still a thing. Because unless you have a track record of making games, you don't get the same benefit of the doubt when you keep tight-lipped.

My point was that you shouldn't assume professionalism AT ALL. 90% of the few update threads we have done have likely just been the result of Smut randomly thinking 'huh, we haven't done an update in a while', coupled with a light conversation with whomever else is online in the Skype chat to confirm that updating is a good idea, and some convenient art asset or whatever to post along with it. It's not like we ever scheduled them.
