Her fur felt much smoother than normal, too smooth, in fact, as if the strands of fur weren't even there any more, like they were replaced with a sleek, springy surface.
>"You better not mess up my coat." Rainbow grumbled, ignoring the instruction to remain silent. Her own voice was different now- it felt as if her words weren't leaving her lips, and were confined to her head instead. Whatever. Twilight didn't say anything back and kept focusing on her spell. It was then that Rainbow realized her entire self was starting to feel too full, as if she had inhaled a huge amount of air- more than her lungs could possibly hold. She also realized her eyes had not blinked since the spell began, and she could not move them to look around, but they felt okay, and she could still see.
