I couldn't even get halfway. The art is a disgrace to the source material and the thought behind its conception.

At first I thought Fosgitt would be some welcome variation to change things up, but the absolute lack of respect or apparent interest for the show is too much for me.

The art style is just a dump of random cartoon style without any care about anatomy or cartoon accuracy. This artist don't give a shit about the show.

Holy fuck the writer of this is really disappointed. She didn't see any art until all the lettering was done and couldn't get anything changed. Her Twitter is just her being sullen and it's kind of sad. She actually agreed with fans that he should have Googled the characters or looked up the episode on YouTube. That Greta in the story we got actually was supposed to be the one we saw in the show.

A mistake she admits is that she forgot that the griffon naming convention wasn't just for females, so just gave male griffons German names.

But holy shit this is a sad story. Shame she's not going to be on more issues, and I can't imagine this was the best experience for her.

You know, the sad thing is I defended Fosgitt after the Spitfire/Dash FF. It was his first shot, and he seemed to have been thrown into it without having a chance to really look at the background material. I really did think he'll get better, since his poses seemed to be expressive and animated if not accurate.

If you look at advertising and the way IDW shows MLP it actually looks like they fucking hate having it. Despite both adding up to be their biggest franchise their FB almost never mentions them and the page on their site is halfway down.
