Amy, Flaming, Dania, Observer, and Renee went down the left corridor in search of one of the two keys needed to operating the door blocking their exit from the bizarre labyrinth, whose grotesquely biological walls appeared to be consuming parts of the Hypnagogium, and Circadia itself. They reached a room containing a wooden circular ornament. Its crude, worn painting made it resemble a sun, and its craftwork resembled that of a toy.
Inside the room was an enormous spiral shell, through which countless multitudes of rotting, half-eaten limbs protruded. Various sections of the wretched monster's limbs resembled torsos and bodies. One spot in the room, just in front of the sun piece was uncovered by the limbs, enabling an easy snatch. Amy then decided to hug the creature, causing her colors to turn unnaturally dark and red as they did for Flow and the others who vanished. Flaming attacked the limbs to free Amy. In response, the creature groaned, and the tunnel through which the party came stretched so far they could not see the end.

Behind you, in the long tunnel, a wall of black ice accumulates along the walls, creeping down until it completely obscures the path back to safety.
From the ice wall extends the upper half of a tripedal equine slumps out, her body coated by a bloody cloth. Her face is caved in, and an eye droops from the hood. The wretched thing clutches a bell with a hooked hoof. She rings the bell, but no sound comes. Amy would recognize this creature faintly...
As the figure rings the bell, the seawater rushes out of the shell in accelerating volumes. The room will soon fill, blocked by the ice wall.
Amy's vision clouds and warps, and her whole body feels faint and limp. Spots of black overtake her yellowing eyes. >7/4 >Roll to recover
>>26009736 In the dream-world Volkama's machine built, Shei encountered scenes from Gabriele's early life, and one from after her death. Soon after, he encountered the Phomesa, a wooden marionette of a doe with jerky, yet dainty and regal movements. After he implored it to assist him in dispelling whatever nightmarish disasters were befalling Circadia and the Hypnagogium, the Phomesa obliged. As the dream-landscape was consumed by black ice, they flew up toward the crack in the starry sky.
The griffons that fought at the crack have been reduced to black ice sculptures. As you and the Phomesa levitate toward the crack, you hit an invisible wall, about fifty meters away from the crack. The Phomesa jiggles her lanterns, and sweet incense begins to drift from them. She puts her antlers to the invisible wall and begins to push, but nothing happens yet. She looks to you with a pleading expression.
>>26009600 After leaving the Landripper and taking the JOY addicts back to the cloud factory, Pryce saw the demons from the Ayakashi Salon, accompanied by many more that weren't there earlier, spilling into the Circadian streets while the remaining Ecclesians got onto roofs for safety. Identifying the source as the Salon, Pryce went down to investigate. He felt up a reverse centaur's washboard abs, and tripped down the stairs.
As you descend the staircase, someone sticks their leg out and trips you. You tumble head-over-hooves down the stairs, eventually having the poor fortune to land on a turtle-demon's back with a loud crunch. >Helpless To make matters worse, someone slaps a sticky sheet of parchment onto your side. It reads "I suk but"
Amy falls over like a rag doll as she stares at the creature. Why does it have this affect on her? Why is it familiar? A feeling of dread and panic overtakes her as he body and mind continue to struggle to maintain shape.

>>26009591 It begins in your hooves. Each iota of your hooves snaps apart, in a stiffness you have never known in your gooey life. The feeling in your limbs dissipates, replaced with an icy numbness. The world around you, in the nerve forest, freezes as if captured by a painter. Soon, it is like you are looking at it through a telescope. It pulls back away from you, shrinking and shrinking into a smaller and smaller red-shifting spherical point, until it is no more.
A sense of falling is the last thing you remember, until it too is replaced with numbness.
--- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlQcKBUcgmA It is unclear how long you have been here. Your senses and facilities crawl back to you in small gasps. When your vision finally clears, you are in what appears to be a trash heap. Surrounding you are mountains upon mountains of broken-down equipment which would appear in a hospital or laboratory. Among them are fragments of furniture, paintings, and building infrastructure which you dimly recall being in the Hypnagogium. You are alone. The shield-crest that summons your minions is nowhere to be found.
Above you is a black expanse, punctuated by a single distant sphere of clusters of light, dominated by a crescent shape, one end dipped in red.
>>26009928 >>26009909 As Amy is taken out of the grasp of the tentacles, Flaming huffs and puffs from the exertion of her mighty attack, looking at the reddened coat of Amy as it spreads and she loses vision.
"No, no no no no no! Amy, you're disappearing! D-Do what you said before, DON'T disappear, you don't want to disappear, you can't leave me please!"
She turns with a shock at the flooding of the chamber, her hooves quickly tapping in place as she feels the water level steadily rise. Shorthorns gives a few panicked breaths, and then looks at the tripedal equine with sheer horror in her eyes, her hooves wavering as it rings its soundless bell.
"D-demon! Are you the one that's doing this! Stop it! Stop it right now, I don't want to be here anymore!" She growls, splashing about in the forming pool as she looks back towards the idol. She gulps, then turns towards the creature.
"W-we're going to drown if we don't get out of here... Novelus, Observer, can you get the key?! I'll try and break down the ice wall and buy us time, now go!"
With all the courage left in her she can muster, the terrified Shorthorns summons what remaining bravado she had displayed in Amy's rescue to charge towards the witch, horns pressed forward aiming for the icy wall to shatter it.

He makes sure that he's operating regularly before he starts rummaging through the equipment and other items for any clues that he can find. Perhaps where he is? Perhaps what happened to him?
>>26010061 You get up and rip off the paper, but several snickering demons make you fairly certain that they saw you wearing it. The bar is a whirlwind of song and dance. A trio of white blobs, masses of forearms and hands, are on the stage, playing the maddening tune. Now indoors, your head slightly clears, and you are dimly aware of light pain covering you like a tunic.
You see an orange blur intermittently dash across the floor, too fast to track.
>>26010062 Sensation and strength surge back into your limbs as you stand up again, your vision clearing slightly. A sickening taste of rotten seawater lingers in your mouth. The hooded thing coming from the ice wall resembles the witch, Azawakh the cruel, from whom you took your relic. Though, she is in far worse condition than that in which you left her.
Something stirs and wriggles in your stomach, a force that is not your own. More mangy patches of fur sprout on your skin. Your body structure becomes more pronounced and bestial.
>>26010013 The bolt fizzles against the ice. Ecc. B hobbles over to Renee and lifts her onto her back before the seawater can claim the goo pony.

Though at a distance of many many kilometers, you can faintly hear it.
>>26010206 Der Schlangenschwert is similarly missing, but the rest of your equipment is intact. Around you, hideous forms begin to swarm from the ground. Tripedal, their emaciated, pink bodies are shaped like cannons on the front end, with worm-like teeth and a circular mouth. The other end makes a spiked point.
Ten in number, they shuffle through the rubbish, picking up anything that looks remotely valuable, clutching them like thieves. One of them you see has Ecc. D's broken glasses. Upon seeing you, the creatures amble forward, shuffling with jerky motions, their dirty claws flexing greedily.
>>26010273 "Spreading a little laughter never hurt I suppose."

Perhaps it was due to the haziness of her mind at the moment that brought back the familiar feelings. She was feeling like her old self. And, in that moment, she looked up and saw not the monster that was before her, but the witch she met in the woods, dying and running away from an unknown assailant. And, it was that thought that she was in a familiar state of mind that made Amy scared.
She was scared of regressing. But, she was also scared of what she was seeing. It's not a fear of seeing the dead alive again. She feels scared because of her own confusion.
Relief and apprehension in equal measure make her freeze in place. The only part of her body that moves are the parts that are shapeshifting back and forth. Her jaw hangs open, her eyes wide.
"You..." she barely squeaks out. "You're dead... I... I killed you," she says, a tear forming in one eye. "I ate you. I..."
She sobs once but quickly swallows her emotions and looks at the witch more resolutely. She takes a step forward. "I'm so sorry. Is that why you're like this? Are you angry because of me? I don't expect you to forgive me. But... please keep them out of this."

From above, one of the brilliant lights appears to descend toward you; it takes the shape of two equine creatures. One glows white as they descend, and soon you recognize them as Shei-Sher and a deer-like marionette with antlers.
>>26010508 As your glow slowly builds, you see more clearly, Flow being assailed by a company of hideous, pink tripedal creatures, standing in a mountain of broken-down wares that one would find in a lab or hospital. The Phomesa recoils at their sight, producing a thin bubble around the two of you as a precaution. The little pink brigands take no notice of you.
>>26010596 The figure's neck twists and extends as you approach her. The distended, broken face pulls back to reveal a set of grounded-down, yellowing teeth. Its jaw flops open, barely held on by broken skin, and it attempts to bite your head off, as if humoring your previous encounter.
For a moment, Amy accepts her fate. It's exactly what she deserves. But then, as the mouth opens in front of her and the horrible teeth come into view, she has an idea. Not to save her own life, but to maybe right the wrong she did. It was a completely stupid idea. But then, so are most of her ideas. It couldn't make things worse.
As the creature is about to bite down on her, she quickly reaches into her saddle bag and pulls out one of her home made potions. She throws it into the witch's mouth.

She looks at it pulsating, willing to put the pain out of her mind [1d10]
She turns to look at the idol, still sitting across the way as her knees stand in the water. "Got to keep, trying..." She stares at the key across the way, and its particular sun-shape. "M-maybe if I get the idol, it'll do something..." She watches the writhing limbs under the water, and determines the best route to the limbs is not through them, but, OVER the nice dry shell that the come from and possibly will have trouble reaching. >>26010751 She turns to look at the witch, horrified and face pale as its neck elongates and shows its disgusting yellowing teeth. As the jaw dislocates, she gasps in fear as it dives for Amy's head. He then gathers Flow into his bag "This is a desperate occasion Flow, do not take this privilege as permission to slump in and out of my bag whenever you please" Shei-sher waves for the Phomesa pick him up again.
"I... I don't have an excuse. That Splitz guy told me that I have something else in me. Or... a part of me. But, that doesn't mean anything. It's still me. It's still my body. I've always been this way. I should control it. I... didn't even try back then."

The air gets stuffy and humid as the water rises more and more, tainting the last of the breathing air with its noxious odor.
The wraith raises its head and relaxes its jaw, looking listlessly up at the party. It makes no further attempt to attack or even advance the ice wall. It waits, looking almost exhausted, though its expression is the same as before.

Finally, it splits the leaf in two and puts each half into the lanterns. Their light increases as the leaf burns more. A sliver of disparity enters the void. Emptiness is separated from emptiness as an opening appears before you. The Phomesa dives in.
An indeterminate amount of time passes as a blurry wave washes over your senses.
Soon, you find yourselves in another void, but something of substance is before you now. You find yourselves in a circular cavern, with three paths leading out from there. One heads to the left, one to the middle, and one to the right.
The floor is like cobblestone from the streets of Circadia, and bits and pieces of warped, rotted furniture from the Hypnagogium is embedded in the damp, squishy walls.
>>26011410 Nothing happens to Spitshine. As you head back upstairs, you notice the party is beginning to wind down in a way; the demons still party and thrash as feverish as before,, but their expressions and banter are gradually turning from pleased and wild to sickened and somber, a few even furious.
As you head upstairs, Spitshine occasionally mumbles directions on where to go. Eventually you reach a hall with a cluster of six rooms, each closed. Laughter and merriment can be heard behind each door.
Spitshine is half-catatonic by now. "Somewhere... here."
She turns significantly more black while climbing (and getting helped by Observer) as she hears those words.
"How would you feel if I killed your family?" she screams at Flaming. "Would you just forgive me because I'm nice now? Would you just forget about everyone you lost? Don't they deserve better? Shouldn't I at least try to make up for what I did?"
>>26011623 "Wait here." Observer states, shifting into his voidling form and diving into the water. He attempts to swim his way over hopefully his voidling body giving him a better chance at using his magic than his pony form did.
>>26011687 "What?!" Flaming shouts, suddenly angered by the suggestion, "I-If anyone killed my family I'd DESTROY them, there'd be nothing left, of course I wouldn't forgive them, never-"
She pauses, looking down at the disgusting water as it fills the room, realizing her point. "...e-even if they didn't mean to..." tears form along her eyes, "But, what can you do? She's... look at her! What can you possibly do?! You could die, don't you understand!?"
>>26011687 >>26011389 As Amy is helped up on the shell despite her stumble, giving her a breath of relief, "T-thank you, Novelus! Yes, I have it, now we just need to get out of here!"
She coughs and gags as the noxious gas fills the room from the water, trying to fight the instinct to vomit as the air thickens with it. "W-we're still trapped... we have to try and break through NOW, it's our only chance!"
She feels the warmth of the key in her hooves, and keeps it close as she stares at the ice wall and the broken witch guarding it. She stares at its prone form for a few seconds, tapping her hooves as she leaps off the shell towards the ice wall, "Break it down!"
>>26011728 As you bang on each door, you are greeted with a variety of sights; a multitude of demons and freaks of all stripes, though each of them is male. Most are unremarkable at this point. Behind the sixth door, you find a coat rack, holding a dark red cloak with copper trim and the image of a spider repairing a web on the back, next to an Ecclesian coat. In the room, a pair of male deer pass a lit pipe back and forth. Seeing you, they wave, casually.
Spitshine groans and covers his eyes. "Maybe it wasn't here..." he groans, holding his stomach.
>>26011790 >>26011705 >>26011687 >>26011916 As Observer, Novelus and Flaming pummel the wall of ice, more vomit-like soil surges from the points of impact, but no further reactions or counterattacks come from the witch. Soon, the level of water is up to their necks...
>>26011755 >>26011787 She takes you down the path, the walls dotted with mold, white flowers, and even pure white jellyfish, floating in the air. You eventually reach a room with fifteen statues of eyes. Each eye points straight ahead, filmed-over and inert. Determining that this is not a trap, you press on.
Eventually, you reach an extremely long corridor. The end of which is blocked off by a thick wall of ice. Periodically, you hear familiar-sounding figures shouting loud, muffled exchanges, but you can't quite place it. The Phomesa steps back, put points forward, jittering excitedly.
>>26011928 ''It's no use...There must be another way out...'' Novelus glances at the shell and an idea comes to him ''Maybe if we turn the shell TOWARDS the wall, the jet of water will be enough to drown the demon and shatter it!'' [1d10+2] inspiring ideas
"I... I don't know," Amy says angrily. "But, this is because of me! She's like this because of me! We're in trouble because of me! I did this and now I don't know what to do to fix it. It deserves to be fixed. What do I do? Raaaa!"
She shouts out in frustration and panic as her body is submerged up to her neck. The water bubbles as her body heats up and her body grows and changes to that of a the great black wolf.
>Mystic Animal Totem
Her growl of frustration turns into a roaring bark which releases a blast of holy flames along with it. They (hopefully) cover all of her frustrations in righteous fury!
>>26011928 "Hmm, alright. Doesn't help much now anyways. Here, let me try again to settle your stomach." Pryce's horn glows white again, the light surrounding Spitshine as Pryce heads towards the exit, going to leave off the second floor or roof to get a better view of the city. >Mantra of Purity [1d10]
Flaming slams her head into the ice again, coughing and gagging within the putrid sea water as she struggles to make a dent
She coughs up violent, "*COUGH* I-I don't think we can turn that shell, Novelus, it's enormous! It must weigh tons!"
She paddles about the water, trying to stay afloat as she tries to bring down more of the black ice again. "JUST. BREAK. YOU. DUMB. ICE!"
[1d10+3] All or Nothing to shatter
>>26012013 As she paddles about, she looks at Amy with tearful eyes as the great black wolf takes form, "Amy, I-I... I don't blame you. This isn't your fault..." she feels a twinge of fear at seeing it's bestial hunting form again, casting her eyes away from the flames.
>>26011928 Shei-sher admires the peaceful scenery of flowers and jellyfish they pass by.
"Who-o-oa, easy girl. I'll inspect it. Just steady thyself." As soon as the Phomesa is less jittery Shei climbs down and walks up to wall of dark ice. He puts his hoof up to it, confirming it is some sort of ice. And very old.
>>26011928 >>26011787 Shei-sher hangs the bag carrying Flow over one of the Phomesa's antlers "Hold this please!"
He returns to the wall of ice and puts both hooves upon it, and then his forward. With great concentration he imagines it melting into water. >I Dream of Alchemy+2 [1d10+3]
>>26012026 Like the room before this, this construct seems to be a "memory" of another witch, and a defense mechanism. However, you sense 'motherly' thoughts from the environment about this figure; whoever this belongs to sees the wretched thing as a mother-like figure.
>>26012013 >>26012085 >>26012026 >>26012000 Amy fully transforms into her lupine state, and her purifying wave of fire incinerates what little remains of the ice wall. However, Amy feels something within the wave take control, with a will of its own. It spreads beyond her control with a force of its own, and shreds into each of the party members, leaving them with hideous burns that the noxious seawater does little to calm.
>>26012148 As you melt the ice from your own side, you become aware of a righteous flame on the other side, approaching fast and unstoppable. It incinerates most of the ice wall, splattering you with a wave of scalding seawater, which reeks and leaves superficial burns.
>Shei 3/7 >Flow 8/4 The Phomesa brays as the torrent lands on her joints, rearing back and jumping away.
- >All With the ice gone, you see each other. Novelus, Observer, Amy, and Flaming see Shei and Flow, accompanied by a marionette of a deer, with a robe of moss and antlers, from which two paper lanterns hang. Everyone sees Amy as a waterlogged wolf-creature.
>>26012085 ''Well we aren't making any progress trying to shatter the wall ourselves amy!...'' Novelus stares at the mass of arms ''I had an idea...What if we turned those limbs to push the shell for us?''
>>26012061 As you step back out onto the balcony, the air feels far more thin and harder to breathe. The salon sways like a ship at sea. Out in the distance, the Hypnagogium's towers are obscured by what appear to be textureless, glassy squares, surrounding each of them, blurring and distoring their colors. As your eyes shift and adjust to the outside, you note that the colors are becoming more simple. Differing shades of a particular color now meld into a single color, and details and shading are harder to perceive. On the whole, everything becomes a lot simpler and clear-cut.
"She was rigging the tower to explode... serve as a distraction for when... when we had to run. But I don't know what the signal would be-- I hurt her be-- ugh." he shifts as you heal him, feeling marginally better but still clearly woozy.
>>26012187 >>26012187 The sheep gasps in pain, being particularly hurt from the fire burning at his wool ''C-curses Amy...Be careful with that...'' He grunts, barely able to breathe He descends from the shell and swims his way towards the goat and the goo >>26012148 >>26012167 ''Shei! Flow! How relieved I am to see you two. Where have you been?'' However as the sheep approaches, they both could see his wool was droopy and dripping in some places, he reeked of rooten water and his face and parts of his wool were charred and burned
>>26012187 "GAAAH!" Flaming shouts out as the Amy-Wolf's searing flames scorch and burn her, coughing as the noxious fumes fill her lungs. But a sigh of relief follows as the ice is finally melted away by the great fanning flame, destroying the barrier and draining them out into the hallway again. Flaming grunts and stands up to her full height among the remaining putrid liquids, shaking her fur and staring at her tunic and burns.
She takes a whiff of her tunic, shuddering as the smell assails her. "UGh, GAG. Awful... i'm gonna smell like this forever." She smiles, shaking her head, "At least... at least we're finally out of there. At least we're alive.."
She looks down at the sun key, holding it close as she feels its warmth and nostalgic sense, then looking down the hallway before seeing the goat and goo pony.
>>26012256 She groans, "I hate my lungs and nostrils too right now. Do you know how I can get rid of them for a while?"
"T-there you are! Where have you been, how did you find us?!" She looks up at Flow within the bag, "Sir Flow, why are you in a bag around... that..." she nervously stares up at the Phomesa, glaring at it. "Is... is that some sort of spirit? It doesn't FEEL like a demon."
The moment the flames come out, Amy realizes her mistake. The guilt she feels is only worsened by the fact that it helped at all. Once everyone is dumped out by the water and back on the ground out of the room, she looks around at everyone she just hurt.
The haze of her rage blocks her vision. All she can see are silhouettes, each one feeling like a mountain of guilt every second she stares at them. She can't stand being near them. It's too much.
For a brief moment, she takes up an attack position and begins to growl. However, with every fiber of her being, she stops herself. She stands there for but a moment then turns to run.
She runs away from the party as fast as she can and doesn't stop. She runs toward the moon room without thinking. She just needs to get away.
>>26012187 Shei-sher stares quizzically at the light emerging from the other side. It grows more brilliant in and instant and Shei's face reels a startled grimace. Shei-sher is engulfed in the hot funky smelling sea water, he gargles a scream until the all water has moved along and become shallow.
"Bleh Peh Peh eww" He spits the taste from his mouth whilst sitting in a shallow pool of dark water. Shei-sher's expression lights up when he sees whats on the other side.
>>26012085 "Flaming!" Shei-sher cry joyiously before hugging you
>>26012187 Flow gets out of Shei's bag and shakes his coat and hat off, making sure he's not stepping on any puddles of the seawater. He removes a small amount of himself and drops it on some seawater to test the effects.
He sits down, not acknowledging the rest of the party as he focuses on the seawater, feeling a little salty about the Inheritance not being in his possession.
>>26012282 Just as Shei-sher hugs you, he is playfully head butted, his face scrunches "Must you always ruin the moment" he chuckles.
"That's the Phomesa, a legendary machination of King Diametre's. She was designed to eradicate nightmares, but for a long time has been dormant. She found me when I should of been finding her. And now I've found you all."
>>26012301 ''Amy? Amy! Don't go by yourself!'' >>26012305 ''This place has been a terrible experience all around, Shei...But I'm glad you found a new friend...She's rather cute'' He smiles at the strange doll before his expression becomes more serious ''No time for introdutions though, we cannot let Amy run around on her own like that...'' He turns towards the corridor and runs after Amy
>>26012224 "Ugh, did this climb up something while we were in there?" Pryce comments as he takes deeper breaths when they step outside. "Shh, don't worry about who hurt who. Let's find her, that's all that matter now." Pryce says to try and ease Spitshine.
"Hold on, I'll go slow but it might still be rocky." Pryce flaps his wings and slowly tries to take off and hover towards the tower Spitshine was referring to. He looks off at the Hypnagogium, but diverts his gaze at the odd colors and shifting. "And don't look over there, it's even making me queasy." >Flight [1d10]
>>26012307 "That it is... and it smells awful too. Blegh,"
she looks at her fur, "This is never coming out, never in a million years."
>>26012305 >>26012282 She smiles as she's hugged, closing one eye to give Shei the stinker as the dripping buffalo smirks. "Oh, you're hugging me. I thought those were too special...?"
She shakes her head, turning her head to press harder against his as her own means of displaying affection. "And, no, it's been absolutely terrible here! I can't stand it, it's been treating YOU nicely?!"
She stares up at Phomesa, "It's a machine that eradicates nightmares? That's incredible. And it led you to us?"
She breaks the hug from Shei for a moment, turning to bow to the Phomesa, "You have my thanks, Phomesa. You may have saved our lives."
Shorthorns looks at her key, "We were close to finding a way out of here, using this key. We were trapped, but Amy freed us with her fire!"
>>26012301 She turns to look at the waterlogged wolf, her burns not offsetting her joy at being freed. Having grown slightly more familiar with her wolf form by now, Shorthorns dares to approach the creature, "Amy, you did it! You..."
She backs off as she's growled at, a primal instinct to survive pressing her to back away in fear of being eaten as Amy snarls in her attack position. She tries to fight the urge to run, however, as she sees Amy take of sprinting in the other direction. Her eyes open wide,
"A-Amy!? Wait, Amy!"
She turns to look to Shei, "I'm sorry, Shei, I'll be right back, promise!"
[1d10] She runs after Amy-Wolf, trying to keep up "Amy, wait up, don't run your legs are longer than mine now!"
>>26012275 Shei-sher pays you mind after he's greeted Flaming Shorthorns. "We've been -snck!" Shei snickers loudly like he's holding in laughter "pfft! Novelus -khehe -you certainly look more ladylike with your fur hugging your skin like that." shei-sher remarks your drenched fur clasping onto your figure tightly. Like a wet cat.
>>26012333 Observer makes his way over to Shei. "Shei. I require your assistance in a project I have recently begun. I feel that I have planned out what I need, with room for more possible inventions to be built. When we return to our realm, I will need your help to 'remodel' the Sky Lab."
>>26012256 "My thoughts... exactly." Ecc. B strains, hobbling over to you to dump Renee onto Golem. "Can you finally take her?"
Renee languidly makes water splashing noises, not concerned with the matter at all.
>>26012305 >>26012282 >>26012275 >>26012256 Following its introduction, the Phomesa makes a light, but unintelligible pittering sound, dabbling its hooves on its moss robe, then tapping each of your heads once or twice in greeting. It exudes an air of minor anxiety, floating slightly above the ground and making period twists and turns of its head, in suspicion of even the walls.
>>26012329 The seawater lays on you like a chunk of rock, adamantly refusing to meld with your body.
>>26012339 >>26012301 >>26012383 Amy rushes down the right corridor, followed by Novelus and Flaming. They notice the architecture of the hallways getting more and more like Circadia in its prime. Neat cobblestone, coated in snow and ice. There are even porticulli blocking the way ahead, but Amy quickly obliterates each of them.
Suddenly, as Amy rushes ahead, something jaw-like in shape springs out of the cobblestone at her. She must roll to avoid it. If she wants to move ahead, she must roll a second time as well. If she stops, she only has to roll once.
Flaming and Novelus must roll under these same rules, but their rolls will only be counted if Amy fails.
These rolls are all ONE (1) instant action.
>>26012342 You head in the direction of the Hypnagogium, but the visual effect only gets more intense as you approach. "Right around there, under the tower on the right..." Spitshine mumbles.
On the flight over, you notice that Ecc. A and F are still on that roof, but have been joined by Ichimonji and Box, both looking really worse for wear.
>>26012438 Pryce shuts his eyes and slows as the visuals of the tower grow wilder. "Are you sure its there? Doesn't even feel like I'm looking at something solid." Pryce glances away, noticing the roof-bound group. He flutters down to them, touching down and rubbing his eyes with a hoof after the sights, keeping Spitshine on his back. "There you are, Spitshine said you got hurt Ichimonji. Is everyone holding together here?"
>>26012438 Shorthorns closes her eyes as her head is tapped, perplexed by the strange greeting of the machine. She feels slightly unnerved by the supposed 'guardian', but takes Shei's word that it's here to help all the same.
"Ah, um, thanks. Do you know where Renee's head is being kept by chance? We're looking for it."
>>26012477 She smirks as she runs, "Okay, that's fair I guess. It was really good to see you again."
As she's told 'not at all', and Shei follows behind, she twerks her head, "Huh? You're acting weird, I thought you just said they... oh. Oh, you were being sarcastic..."
>>26012438 >>26012488 Shorthorns marvels at the look of Circadia's 'original' appearance returning to them after obtaining the Sun Key, entranced by the eerie calm the more familiar, less surreal surroundings seem to bring.
As she runs after Amy, she continues to shout at her with pleas to slow down, "Amy, I said slow down! Please, come back, we shouldn't go too far! Amy, c-can you hear me?"
As the jaws leap out of the ground, she gasps, trying to leap and avoid them [1d10] "These things again?! What are they?"
[1d10+3] She bashes her head into the jaw after attempting to side step, All or Nothing
>>26012488 One springs up and clamps onto your leg; it's a set of teeth, in a desiccated and filthy corpse's mouth, that had been buried beneath the cobblestone. You blast away another portion of the cobblestone ahead, revealing at least 2 more places where corpses had been buried. There could be more ahead, though it would take a brief examination of the area for any more traps.
>>26012516 The Phomesa takes only one look at Renee before it steps briskly back, in a very clear NOPE.
You knock the jaw off Amy's leg, getting only a small nick on your chin from its clamping teeth.
>>26012536 An artificial construction, the only signs of life on its body are the moss robe and a force in the lanterns. As Shei said, it seems tuned to fighting nightmares, created from a matrix of seance-related rituals performed at its creation. More information lies below, but some force seems intent on resisting any prying attempts you make.
>>26012484 As you land on the roof, you notice Ichimonji is wearing two coats, and that Ecc. F is wearing none. A faint hint of a hideous burn can be seen on Ichimonji's side where the ight peeks through. She pulls her coat over herself and surveys the sea of rampaging demons below. "Shit happens. 'Specially round explosives. No time to dwell on it. Round up your crew because we're leaving. Where are they?" she barks.
Spitshine looks downcast and greatly guilty as she brings up 'explosives'.
