"Hey Anon! You know how I do free movie night every Saturday at the library...well I was thinking this Saturday it would be fun if we watched a human movie!
Could you pick something out and bring it over? Don't worry about converting it from your world's format to our reel-to-reel projector...that'll happen automatically as you pass through the magic mirror. See ya Saturday!"
>You have looked into Celestia's crystal ball.
>The future is fuzzy, but you know this;
>Whatever movie you pick, all Equestra will become obsessed with.
>Ponies will rave about it.
>No pony will shut up about it.
>It will play non-stop in every theater across Equestria for months...theaters will be sold out.
>Fandoms will spring up that dwarf anything ever seen here on Earth.
>Ponies will cosplay as the characters...not just at conventions but every day.
>Foals will play-act the movie on their playgrounds
>It will change Equestrian society for better or worse.
So what do you pick?
well the last movie I watched was Ocean's Eleven and I still happen to have it from the video rental shack, so I guess that one because it's convenient.
They better not charge me late fees.
Okay, "The Lion King", then.
Show the ponies how monarchies are REALLY supposed to work.
because life just needs to be that much more confusing and surreal
Tetsuo: The Iron Man
I'd love to see ponies react to this.
Can't go wrong with these guys.
Not a movie but should still count.
You're all wrong.
This is the only correct answer.
Toe cutter is displeased with the choices so far.
I'd pick this, if only to make Twilight cringe
THE ORIGINAL KOREAN OLDBOY
seriously, the guy gets blackout drunk, trapped in a prison for like 15 years with no human interaction, beats up like 30 guys with a hammer, fucks his own daughter and then cuts his own tongue out with scissors.
Fuck, that sounds like an awesome movie...
Fifty fucking people have mentioned LOTR. I beg to differ
Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
I want ponies to get in on Monty Python quotes as much as humankind. Plus there may be some pony culture jokes there. Celestia finding God's moaning on his follower's bowing and scraping amusing, earth ponies getting a whole other level to "He hasn't got shit on him" compared to unicorns... Yeah.
Can't go wrong with Monty Python. Or if I do, I fail properly.
I'm trying to think what would have the best effect on society as a whole, rather than result in the cutest cosplay or whatever.
It's difficult, because most of the big deal films deal with human problems, not pony problems.
Alright, fuck Happy Gilmore. I'm changing my vote to this.
>Ponies questioning the process by which their rulers are chosen, then taking up anarcho-syndicalism
>Bedevere's troll logic
>Black Knight determinatorism
I'm watching the remake of that fight scene. It's just so awful. There's no tension in the scene, because the fucking gaffer thinks its cool to add cartoonishly hilarious screams whenever someone falls over, and Josh Brolin is the stereotypical Mary Sue action hero who can do no wrong. There's no emotion in any of the fights, just bland uninspired bullshit. And to top it all off, some guy just runs up behind him, stabs him and runs away? Seriously?
No, like... my first instinct was maybe Fight Club, but that's all about human problems that ponies don't really have. Abject materialism and the sidelining of masculinity in modern culture isn't a pony problem. What problem does pony society have that a human film could help fight?
THE PRICE IS WRONG, BITCH!
Adolf Hitler: The Greatest Story Never Told
>We don't hear that shit everyday
>Not a better Disney movie
>backdoor sluts 9
thats not a real movie. pic related
Lets give Questria' some freedoms.
It's the Great Blumpkin, Charlie Brown
>Having to choose between Team America and Oldboy
Now everypony wants to chop off his right hoof to get a cool chainsaw prothesis.
Are y'all niggers trying?
Either Godzilla or Pacific Rim. Honestly probably Pacific Rim so I don't need to explain the context of Nuclear Weapons to the ponies.
True, but the original 1954 Gojira is like the ultimate Anti-Nuclear weapon movie. You miss so much of the meaning of the flick if you don't know about the bombing of Japan and the Castle Bravo tests.
Though I suppose the question may come up even watching Pacific Rim, but Gojira would raise the question even harder.
Ironman 1. Then slowly release the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Think of it. All the bits: toys, movies, tie-ins, pony spin-offs. And all the horse pussy that comes along with being famous...
Are short movies (If this even counts as one, it's about the length of one TV episode) allowed? Mine would be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-wAzlqzXH0 solely because I want to see Ghost Recon operator Equestria
>Fillys screaming "HAck the planet!"
I can live with this.
You just made my day for knowing this movie, Anon.
