You hate Past Sins because the characters are portrayed as out of character.
Yet you have no problem when the mane 6 continously act out of character or have not learned from prior episodes and when you do have problems with canon characterisation it's because they're not your ideal headcanon personality for them that you've made up over the years from reading fan works?

She's an interesting character to bring into focus on a children's show. Her megalomania, not giving a fack, obliviousness to other's feelings and love of messing with social norms is really the temperament of a super villain. And her galpal/fuckbuddy is for all practical purposed a reformed super villain. Definitely a massive shift of focus from the Mane 6 who we've watched learn countless lessons about putting the greater good above their individual desires. Trixie is kind of mocking toward that.
Making her a main character completely changes to show for me. It's no longer about goodness persevering. Now it's about how important it is to at least maintain the appearance of being good after you've done a few bad things in your life. Much more morally ambiguous.

I've never read it, but it appears to be a complete rip from Fallout 3' story, (X character with a title leaves X Vault to look for X person) not to mention shameless using of Fallout's factions, (The Enclave, The Unity, and other such factions). Is it overrated crap? To me, it wastes the Fallout name with shitty namedrops and references that have no place in MLP's Expanded Universe.
