Can we discuss how stupid Sci-Twi powers are compared to the other girls ? They all have something that reflects their personality and life style, telling us more about them:
Applejack has super strength, and one can quickly chalk it up to her working on the farm and her Equestrian version being an Earth Pony, but there's much more to that. It's a reflection of her inner strength, how she must stay strong for her family which counts on her and how life's hardships, including the death of her parents, toughened her up.
Pinkie's explosives are her hyperactivity, standing still and then erupting unexpectedly with a force of a volcano.
Dash's speed is her way of life, to take care of as much as she can as fast as she can and always be first.
Rarity's diamond shield is a metaphor of her constant pursuit of newest fashion and valuables as a distraction from beatings her drunk father and his friends give her.
Fluttershy's animal talking power has roots in her love of all things that live and her desire to understand and get along with everyone.
Finally there's Sunset which has the most fitting power: mind reading. She always had problems with getting along with people, not getting what makes them tick beyond her threats and demands. She had to learn to get along with the others but for the most time she was an outsider. But now she can read their minds and in her fucked up socially retarded way understand them.
But Twilight ? Pew pew, laser beams ! What the fuck does that say about her ?

"The arcology's mainframe is not allowing this unit to log into the systems." The star circles around me, as if searching something, "As it stands, we both seem to be blocked off most systems."
"Don't you have any information yourself?" I look at the lower catwalk. I might be able to jump down there, if my earth pony magic is as developed as I think it is, and the kitchens are south of there, and the research and levitation engine rooms north.
"During your fight with it, the prisoner's body was twice as large as you are now and was covered in what seemed like several layers of robes. It also wore a bird-like mask, or had a remarkably bony face."
My eyes open wide.
Another shout echoes across the broken arcology.
"Star, when was the prisoner captured and in which conditions?"
"By the time of the capture this unit had moved to a safe location away from the fight, ma'am. My apologies."
"Can you tell me where she is now?"
The next shout, and the sound of Magic running past reinforced steel walls like they are paper, make my legs shake.
"The arcology's unstability is disrupting the radars, ma'am."

The ground, already off-level, shakes again when I land and almost makes me fall to the red-hot floor below.
I grab to the handrail jut in case, "What's the state of the arcology?"
"Recent events have sent the main reactor into a critical state, ma'am. This unit was scheduled to oversee the repair drones, but they seem to be completely missing."
The earthbone in the research center. If the arcology goes down I can't let it be destroyed.

>Rarity: the vocal one, while she earned some reprimands from senior officers already for snooping everywhere around the ship, you have to admit that she proposed a lot of improvements that they begrudgingly implemented, mostly thanks to her Charisma.
>Twilight Sparkle: smart and learned, she used her time as a Squire to study prewar tech giving her edge Intelligence. While she isn't the biggest of the bunch and can be quite rigid in the way she does things, you received word that whenever her friends were in danger she turned into quite a fighter.

Scribes: Twilight, Sunset, and Fluttershy
Lancers: Rainbow and Pinkie
Rarity will surely take good care of her armor. Flutteshy is surely too small to fit inside armor. Pinkie's sense will surely come handy when piloting through tight spots. The rest are obvious choices.

The show never gave me much to go off of, but common depictions show her as either a hyperactive version of ponk. Personally I see her as a more chill version of Ponk. either way, what made me fall for her the most is her drive for entertaining ponies.

I think that it's fairly unanimous that EqG is complete irredeemable dogshit and that the microscopic fraction of the posters who somehow manage to love eating that shit are the objectively worst posters on this board.
