That is a likely scenario, but I wouldn't want to see that unless she died much later. Just as I said in the first post, is there a point in devising an a.u. where Kanade survives and just kill her shortly after? It could work if she dies much later down the line, like mid-late S1.
Maybe she is hospitalized and taken out of action for good after the incident.
Hibiki would have to deal with a less angry, but still just as battle-autistic Tsubasa and a Kanade that is full of regrets and grief.
Kanade, on the other hand, would get some part in offering Hibiki guidance and teaching her the ropes.
Chris remains mostly unchanged. In fact, maybe out of action Kanade could meet Chris somehow and help teach her to let go of her anger.
This way, even if Kanade dies, she leaves a much greater impact on the other characters and on us, who'd get to know her better.

Marrying main cast members to random people would be worse. If you don't have enough people it makes sense but in most cases it's terrible. Adventure 02 had 2 of the 4 girls marry random guys while the other 2 couples came out of nowhere. Naruto did something similar but the romance in that series was terrible and poorly handled from the start. Having someone like Chris end up with a random guy would seem a whole lot like a self insert being dropped in for the fans. She should probably stay single.
