The worst I could say about a sentai series before Ninninger was that Gaoranger was boring or Abaranger was a tad too wacky for my tastes or the focus or Ohranger was all over the place. Most seasons I've seen feel overly padded. The introductions are really exciting, but then writers sort of just spin the wheel to see who to focus on this week. They run out of ideas just past the halfway mark and sit on their ass doing nothing interesting until the endgame.

Not really, because JAKQ showed that it's easier to notice sudden retools when it happens twice as fast. What matters is if the staff can keep things entertaining even if they get repetitive, or when the status quo changes after every few fillers or so (this is one of the reasons why I like, for example, Jetman; you never get time to get bored).

I at least liked Warz and Barizorg (and Basco, though he's technically not Zangyack). With the Kibaoni Corps, I don't think a single one was actually good (though I think Kyuemon came the closest). I enjoyed Gabi and Tsugomori at their starts, but the former was killed off early without accomplishing anything while the latter replaced him to no benefit and contributed very little. Ariake just rotted outside outside of the whole Mangetsu thing.

I started Zyuranger on a Friday about half a year ago, and finished it on the next Friday. I guess I'd have watched about 10 episodes a day.

As far as pacing goes, I watch as much as I can with the time I have. I watched as many as 15 episodes of a single show one day. I used to think that I'd have prefered to spread the journey out longer but at the end of the day I enjoy the shows I watch just as well no matter how quickly or how long it takes.

Not him, but none of the hurricanegers are even remotelely likable, as they are bland as fuck, the mechs are ok at best, and the biggest plot point(KabutoRaiger's poisoning) was resolved in a very stupid way. Ninninger executed that same plotline better in just a self-contained episode.

That said, I liked that they didnt the ninja concept as traditionally as Kakuranger and the villains were sort of good, but it doesnt make up for the flaws. It sucks they like to milk that show as much.
