Who approved this degeneracy?
all about that orange
>tfw actually only 4 eisodes into the show
Black Rangers have better characters.
Green Rangers are better colors.
Keep it colorful Toei. Just stop giving us shitty greens though.
Here's the thing though. I find Green to be an overload of colours where black compliments everything. When it comes down to the mech either Pink or green are thrown under the bus with cholour scheme and it's usually pink even though it goes better with the primary colours.
When black's around everything is visually attractive. Why do you think /ssg/s favourite sentai are Jetman and Megaranger?
Green Ranger for Ninninger V Cinema
The worst I could say about a sentai series before Ninninger was that Gaoranger was boring or Abaranger was a tad too wacky for my tastes or the focus or Ohranger was all over the place. I wouldn't say that Ninnin was irredeemably bad or that it had Ohranger-tier bad episodes but it just felt like it failed to deliver on a lot of stuff.
I thought Naomi Takebe would've learned from her mistakes after Go-Busters but it looks like she didn't have a clear direction of how she wanted the show to be. As for Kento Shimoyama he's good writing V-Cinemas and Vs films but he just don't have the chops to write a full show.
Alright /ssg/ you've been asking for one....now you got it
We already got MidoNinger though
>being this new
Who could she be if its not Kyuemon? It could be pic related but if that's the case she should be violet.
That's not a female black...
I really really really want one
I'm still really pissed that this is the second ninja sentai without a black ranger. That's really the only colour you're supposed to have.
Did you miss the 'for my tastes' part of that? and yes, as >>13847167 was so kind to point out Hurricanger is not very wacky. The HK subs made it quite humorous at times but not wacky. I don't know, nobody in Abaranger felt like a human being to me.
>second ninja sentai without a black ranger
Technically now it's the only ninja sentai without a black ranger.
>tfw this is why they cast a woman as Kyuemon
>To reincarnate their shota villain as a TransNinger in the Returns special.
>Kotono Mitsuishi who voiced Ariake no Kata will also make an appearance.
Live action appearance as well?
It's the mom. And she has a dumb catchphrase like Takaharu but pulls it off.
God damn it John Toei. Stop making this image valid.
I love Megumi Han and her recent roles like this girl
>Not the same shape as Poanmaru's shuriken, or at least Fuuka's
I dropped Ninninger a while ago,but this still vexs me.
He got to be Toq 6 for Christmas, though.
They basically used the End Shuriken to create a world where a Last Ninja didn't need to exist and decided to create titles for themselves.
Takaharu is "New Last Ninja", Kasumi is "Science Last Ninja", Fuuka is "Idol Last Ninja", Nagi is "Comedic Last Ninja" Yakumo is "Magic Last Ninja" and Kinji is "Western Last Ninja"
>Fuuka is "Idol Last Ninja"
>Nagi is "Comedic Last Ninja"
Top fucking kek.
Lol wtf. They really never did have a clue what to do with him did they? They might has well have made him Curry-eater Last Ninja for what he was worth.
>They might has well have made him Curry-eater Last Ninja for what he was worth.
Considering how Sentai curry eaters tend to be, that actually would have been an improvement.
Regular female Green named Midori when?
>Hated Amy's actress for bad acting
>Disgusted by it
>Hated Kasumi's actress for bad acting even though I know she has done better
I don't even know
what's the fastest you've watched an entire series? i'm on episode 24 of shinkenger after a few days, but it's chinese new year and i don't have anything better to do.
anyone out there pace themselves at one episode a week? i imagine it spreads out the enjoyment over a longer period of time but i'm too impatient for that.
Exactly my point. It should be an improvement, but I don't think it will be a big enough to make the character less mechanic, but at least I guess the other Zyuohgers will be very charismatic.
It's an anniversary season. The people who'll be in the show will probably know how to act well enough as they have a huge weight on their shoulders that this is a very important season.
>The people who'll be in the show will probably know how to act well enough as they have a huge weight on their shoulders that this is a very important season.
Although there is mixed feelings with Utsunomiya as a producer, the one thing he can do is pick out a well rounded cast.
Takaharu wasn't even a terrible character. If it wasn't for the actor and catchphrase people wouldn't shit on him so much. Besides Yamato definitely looks to be the most charasmatic of Zyuohger actors and the only one that even comes close is the Yellow ZyuOh.
>enemy general curb-storms the whole team
>Red delivers emotional speech
>does trademark hair-smoothing gesture
>accidentally flips his visor up and unlocks alt mode
It's probably gonna be like that.
Is Takumi responsible for him having his team slot stolen by a human?
She is really good in being VA (She worked in Precure before work in Nininger)
Ironicaly her character name is Megumi
That's because Amy only looked really hot in the fanservice she did on the show.
Don't know who you're quoting bro but there's nothing pedo about it.
So, this is the debut of the monster that Dairanger's Miss Telephone would end up being an incredibly distant relative to. It's crazy to think that these days, being at episode 52 or less/so would normally be the end of the show by that point.
I assume the robot's primary weapon would be a grappling hook arm.
>It's crazy to think that these days, being at episode 52 or less/so would normally be the end of the show by that point.
Goranger was just a monster of a show that way, like the original Rider. Changeman was the second-longest and only made it to 55.
Even then, Change only got that far since Flashman's debut was delayed (since they didn't believe in doing hiatuses back then). Let's not forget about Kakuranger clocking in at 53, as the third longest.
Me in the car belting out the chorus with the Gokaiger OP on blast.
Let's GO Let's
GO GO Let's GO Let's
>In late April, the Zyuoh Cube Weapon Animal Armament Cube Mole will be released for 900 yen. Cube Mole becomes a drill attachment for the main robots. It is the last Cube Animal needed to form Wild Zyuoh King. The next Cube Weapon Cube Bear will be released in mid-May for the same price. It can become an axe attachment for the main robots.
>Early June will see the release of the “Three Beast Awakening” DX Zyuoh the Light for 3500 yen. It is the transformation device for Zyuoh the World. Push the numbered buttons and rotate the cube. It has four modes: “Transformation”, “Summon”, “Combine”, and “Cube Search”. The Zyuoh the Light will come with a mini-figure of Zyuoh the World Rhinos Form.
>Also releasing in early June is the “Reel Super-Rotation” DX Zyuoh the Gun Rod for 4200 yen. Zyuoh the World’s weapon; it can transform between Gun mode and Rod mode. With its reel super-rotation action you can unleash a deadly gatling attack.
>In late June, Zyuoh Cube 7 Cube Crocodile will be released for 2300 yen. The animal partner of Zyuoh the World, it can transform from Cube mode to Crocodile mode. Cube Crocodile can be combined with both Zyuoh King and Zyuoh Wild. In late June, Zyuoh Cube 8 Cube Wolf will be released for 2300 yen. Another animal partner of Zyuoh the Wolf, it can transform from Cube to Wolf. Can combine with Zyuoh King and Zyuoh Wild.
>The last animal partner of Zyuoh the World, Zyuoh Cube 9 Cube Rhinos, will be released in early July. The biggest of the three, Cube Rhinos can transform from Cube to Rhino. All three can combine together to form Tousai Zyuoh. Cube Rhinos forms both shoulders, the left arm, the upper right arm, and the lower half. Cube Crocodile forms the rest of the right arm while Cube Wolf forms the head and the upper chest.
>Sixth has Wolf, Crocodile, and a Rhino mech
>No hammerhead shark
Oh, I see now. Yet that sure didn't stop them from constantly slowing Gaim down with crossovers (never mind soccer or Golfgom being responsible for slowing down at least one recent show).
That would be a trite redundant, since there's already two types of felines. But hey, maybe it could show up later, so who knows.
Sakamoto girls always end up busting it open in gravure and videos for some reason. Think about all the sentai and rider actresses that have been in his movies/shows.. they bust it open.
Gaoranger had three sharks, four felines, three birds, and two bears.
I would love a bat or peacock mech.
Would Sentai shows feel better paced if they were 30 or even 20 episodes long?
Most seasons I've seen feel overly padded. The introductions are really exciting, but then writers sort of just spin the wheel to see who to focus on this week. They run out of ideas just past the halfway mark and sit on their ass doing nothing interesting until the endgame.
The Sanzu river feels like it's rising by the millimeter.
Mei is so cute, shame she is a emotionless robot.
Not really, because JAKQ showed that it's easier to notice sudden retools when it happens twice as fast. What matters is if the staff can keep things entertaining even if they get repetitive, or when the status quo changes after every few fillers or so (this is one of the reasons why I like, for example, Jetman; you never get time to get bored).
We need more shows with rotating villains, like Hurri, Magi, Geki and Gosei. Keeps the plot fresh, villains can get developped without getting drawn out or looking incompetent, makes the story seem bigger and the power level risings/toys more justified.
It's funny how that show played out like a live-action TMNT at times. You even have the main villain making fourth wall jokes.
That aside, I don't think anyone will get overly concerned if Hurricanger is the only Sentai without full proper subs left.
>I don't think anyone will get overly concerned if Hurricanger is the only Sentai without full proper subs left.
People who haven't seen it will probably care. But it's one sentai I don't care to rewatch.
Well Zangyack you have been redeemed as the worst sentai villains since that title now goes to the Kibanoi Generals. There was a lot of wasted opportunities on how they was used with Ariake no Kata being the biggest waste.
I at least liked Warz and Barizorg (and Basco, though he's technically not Zangyack). With the Kibaoni Corps, I don't think a single one was actually good (though I think Kyuemon came the closest). I enjoyed Gabi and Tsugomori at their starts, but the former was killed off early without accomplishing anything while the latter replaced him to no benefit and contributed very little. Ariake just rotted outside outside of the whole Mangetsu thing.
I started Zyuranger on a Friday about half a year ago, and finished it on the next Friday. I guess I'd have watched about 10 episodes a day.
As far as pacing goes, I watch as much as I can with the time I have. I watched as many as 15 episodes of a single show one day. I used to think that I'd have prefered to spread the journey out longer but at the end of the day I enjoy the shows I watch just as well no matter how quickly or how long it takes.
I speak Japanese. And if the subtitles can get across the general meaning, which I've heard is the case for Hurricaneger, only the dialogue itself would be botched the actual story would be the same.
>I want a turtle that's well armored
>makes the mech well armored
It tanked the final boss solo
Some examples have been posted in this thread. If I was to dissect Hurricaneger I'd have to have rewatched it recently.
If you like it that's great, it's just one more Sentai you enjoyed. I liked Ninninger but I'm well aware of its flaws.
And in fact I like Hirricaneger too despite it being amongst my least favourite Sentai. I guess I just lie Sentai.
Not him, but none of the hurricanegers are even remotelely likable, as they are bland as fuck, the mechs are ok at best, and the biggest plot point(KabutoRaiger's poisoning) was resolved in a very stupid way. Ninninger executed that same plotline better in just a self-contained episode.
That said, I liked that they didnt the ninja concept as traditionally as Kakuranger and the villains were sort of good, but it doesnt make up for the flaws. It sucks they like to milk that show as much.
The shows arent made for a neckbeard who cares about "pace" they are made for families to casually watch on a Sunday morning. If you want better "pace" just watch a show made for you.
I marathoned the entirety of Go-Busters in 3 days. My dad was in a coma and I never left the room until he woke. I played it loud because he always hated the nips and I thought his undying anger might wake him up. I didn't sleep in 2 weeks, wasn't really thinking straight.
He's fine now.
Man, those Shadow Line costumes are so great, but why is it that everytime they are outdoors it must be at sunlight? They look great in the dark, like in their base. Couldn't they do the combat scenes at night or at twilight or something?
>one of the early episodes has kagura getting captured by the coffin guy in the dead of night
>battle with coffin guy takes place in an abandoned schoolyard at noon or afternoon
>home base for the shadow line is a castle that's dark as fuck with no source of natural light
>all the kaiju decide to have their fights in the daytime instead of trying to inconvenience the ToQs by fighting at night
I will never understand glorious nippon cinematography.
Sentai rangers have it a lot better than Riders at least, I remember Decade having like two slits between the eyes to see through
Now that is really really nice, I just wonder how the silver mask would come out. If the center is the default one, lifting up the gold would turn it into the left one, but then how do you reach the right one? Would you put the mouth down and there's a silver portion that doesn't retract? If so then how does it go down to return to default mode?
In what way?
>resolved in a very stupid way
How is it different from any similarly rehashed plot?
If your going to call something shit, your going to have to elaborate with more than unsupported opinions (like that other Anon asked for). The burden of proof is on you.
