You seem to have made a bit of a mistake in your post. Luckily, the users of 4chan are always willing to help you clear this problem right up! >Can I start with Kuuga?
>What is this "Grongi language code"?
The Grongi language is a cipher based on Japanese, but English translations so far only exist for the first 22 episodes or so.
Kamen Rider Atsume, from the makers of Neko Atume. Mobile app. Coming out this Spring in limited release.
Looking to start my rider collection with the Ghost driver and some eyecons. Best places to shop? So far, amazon looks pretty inexpensive with the driver going for 50 American dollars
What are the differences between gashapon, SG, and DX?
>Rider X's treasured item is Apollo Geist's arm
Spring cannot come soon enough.
Since the original kamen rider is still untranslated, how is ,,the first,, movie? Is it worth it?
Short version: no.
Long version: nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
You mean water crystals, anon
You might as well watch the episodes of the original show that have been subbed or something. It's not like The First and The Next had any resolution either.
The First has some great action and suits, but it completely changes character motivation and half of the movie is focused on hospital drama that's mostly separate from the main story. Aside from using the same names as the original series and having "Shocker" as the enemy, it's pretty much its own story, and a story that was left open at the end of The Next and will never be concluded.
>will never be concluded.
Why so? It's not like anyone who was alive when Kamen Rider was first airing is still living or really in any condition to complain so it's not like they're going to piss off the fans, and people who watch Kamen Rider now won't care about closure in Next.
The story of the reboot movies The First and The Next won't be concluded because The Next bombed, it has nothing to do with the original series.
The original series did have its own ending, although it was clearly produced with the idea of V3 starting immediately afterwards.
It seems to depend on the popularity of the character and how well the series' toy sales are going. As an example, Chaser's stuff is probably the most expensive in Drive, whereas Gou's is the least.
Weird how the best eyecon is Ghost isn't even an eye.
You think he'll perform the Heavens Tornado in Death Note movie?
All I can think of when I see it.
The colors used are really nice too.
That's not a bad thing to be thinking of.
What a dork. I thought he had no friends.
Stop associating my patrician career with your shitty Rider franchise or I'll get Joe Odagiri and Christopher Eccleston to kick your ass.
I want to get Kamen Rider 1 sound effects, mainly him saying HENSHIN and TOH but also his belt using the typhoon (that whirring when he transforms). Is there an easy way for me to find SFX of this stuff because google gives me jack shit
I kinda wanted to get it now because I'm working on a little shitty thing for myself, is the only way for me to go into a random episode and try and rip the bits of audio myself? I figured after 45 years there'd be SOME sort of SFX repository for Rider-related stuff
You would think, but we mostly just get the stuff from the toys and a couple of games. Maybe some AV geek will get around to making a catalog eventually. There are some Deviantart soundboards for the newer stuff though.
Just a butting in anon but I'm good with that as long as they just don't end up as the forgotten belt voices. At least they'll have a manifestation we can look at unlike the OOO animals.
>It's not like anyone who was alive when Kamen Rider was first airing is still living
That shitty little thing I was doing that involved Rider 1 SFX is done. It's a 3DS theme.
If anyone is interested and has a hacked 3DS (or at least has menuhax installed) you can check it out here:
Nobody makes Kamen Rider themes for 3DS which I guess is understandable since it's iche as fuck but I figured I'd make something that would represent something I actually enjoy.
Are there any catalogs or resources for Kamen Rider toys? Some items like gaia memories have up to four different versions for a single memory with different sounds or leds and it's a pain to keep track of.
Also, what are your best options for buying? There's always ebay and amazon, but I'm aware of cstoys and mandarake as well.
Is it possible to watch Agito before Kuuga? I heard it was sort of a sequel so I'm curios if there will be any big plot points that I'll miss? Been watching reverse-release date of the pre-decade shows(started with Kiva, wrapping up Blade now) and I'm wondering if I may need to switch it around.
If you mean the movie Kamen Rider vs Shocker, then yes. The action is insane and there's crazy badass moments for Hongo and Ichimonji.
If you mean Kamen Rider THE FIRST (2005). Then I'd say it's still worth it, but don't go out of it thinking this is what the original series was or this is what Kamen Rider is about.
I've seen The First and I'll admit that it was sort of awful, but I've just never gotten around to watching The Next. All this talk about those movies has made me want to see what the fuss is about, and I think... I think the time is now. Wish me luck.
The Next actually uses a horror subplot which I think fits better than the hospital drama.
The main issue is that the horror monster subplot is mostly unconnected from the Shocker main plot, rather than both just being one and the same.
V3 from The Next also is even more different from the original V3 than Hopper 1 and 2 were from the original Riders. It gets to a point where it seems like the only reason that character even was "V3" was for marketing.
This image looks rather odd and I can't really explain why.
Renal failure took him away.
Goddamn, I forgot how sexy the Kabuto belt voices were.
You'll have to go to the homebrew general on /vg/ or find a guide for installing menuhax to allow you to get homebrew launcher, from there you can change theme from menuhax
Beat the mother fuck out of them, obviously
I'm my own sister. I'll have Takoyaki with them.
Fuck you gou
FUCK YOU GOU
I'd post more advanced info but this is really not the place for that
>Fourze got skipped because they couldn't figure out how to fuck his shit up.
An evil teacher raped one of the KRC female students and Gentaro gets so mad and that somehow affects the Fourze suit. Or something. Just call Inoue, he'll figure it out.
Originally, SIC was meant to be closer to manga concept art. Even those clearly had a grittier style than the art itself though.
It only took a couple of years for them to go with original designs that had nothing to do with any concept art too.
Actually, most SIC stories attempt to be basically movie-like plots that fit into canon even if they aren't really canon.
The AU ones, like Ryuki's generally have excuses, like Ryuki's taking place in previous cycles.
I would be amazingly grateful if you could possibly do more, of any Rider really. The only other one is this somewhat disappointing Gaim one since the sound on Just Live More is so quiet, and the bottom screen feels cluttered due to the samurai.
That theme is kinda meh, they didn't even change the button colors.
I have no plans on jumping straight into making another theme, but if you'd like to put out a request for one I can get on it and have it done tomorrow or the next day.
You'll have to provide me with:
>BGM (optional but what good is a theme without some music?)
>Folder Icons (open and closed) (optional)
There's also icon borders but I really don't care about those and don't have a good template to make ones that won't look like shit.
Otherwise I'll make some eventually when I feel like it ETA faiz day because Rider 1 was the only one I had a good idea to go off of and decent images to use right off the bat.
Whose pose is Luhy doing?
Not sure what crossover does he specifically mean, but the crossover with the previous rider usually are released/subbed when the current show is around the 30s, and the spring crossover when its nearing the end.
>Read about historic periods of Japan
>Turns out the Heisei era had a "Lost Decade"
>mfw Decade really does ruin everything
The new movie is a sequel.
"In the new film's story, the present-day, highly advanced information society is beset by global cyber-terrorism in 2016. New charismatic figures, who inherited the DNA of Light (previously played Tatsuya Fujiwara) and the detective L (Ken'ichi Matsuyama), emerge. The successors of the two geniuses will wage a war over six Death Notes on Earth."
>New charismatic figures, who inherited the DNA and the detective L
Sounds neat though, and Philip will be cool to watch. Is DN still considered big in the US? I imagine I won't a clue what's happening if it's not (fan)subbed.
>it's kinda hard to fuck up the idea of "writing names in this book kills people"
They said that about Dragon Ball, Street Fighter, Gundam, Speed Racer and Fist of the North Star as well.
>No Hyper Gatack
>Not even any Rider Cutting
So, i was thinking, Drive and The Flash have a lot of similarities, right(besides the whole speed thing), so i decided to think about who'd be who
>Drive is Barry, the second Flash: protag, red, fast, in the police, blablabla
>Mach is Wally, Kid Flash: Drive being his mentor and having a relationship with a family member(Barry and Iris) and having more potential than the protag, but not using it
>Eiji is Bart, Impulse, fourth Flash: comes from the future, is from the same family as Barry(with Eiji being Shinnosuke's son and Bart being Barry's grandson)
>108/Dark Drive is Eobard Thawne, Professor Zoom, the first Reverse Flash: Comes from the future(not much to add, really, could say he's Zoom because of the time-stopping powers, but Banno seems more like it)
>Banno is Hunter Zolomon, Zoom, the second Reverse Flash: now, at first i thought this could be Thawne, because of the colors and him being a "Reverse Drive", but i think Zoom fits him better: Has a bond with the second Rider, is way more powerful and the second Rider has to join forces with another Rider to defeat him(Wally had to use the powers of all the other speedsters to be able to stop Zoom)
>Chase is Jay Garrick, first Flash: Mostly because of him being proto driver, but i don't know, he could be Max Mercury too
I could be talking a lot of shit tho, but i kinda have a lot of time in my hands now
the rest is fine, this is beyond retarded. Max Mercury is more like a wise mentor. Hongo (or maybe Faiz since Shinnosuke actually interacted with him) would fit more.
Yeah, it was mostly because he was the first "drive" Rider
But i think that Jay would be better, even though he didn't go trough the whole "being bad and then good again" thing that Chase has
I thought it was funny how the Star Labs crew and the SCU matched up character archetypes.
>Kyu and Cisco (giant fucking dorks who are experts at computers)
>Rinna and Caitlin (scientists with unlucky romantic lives)
>Gen and Joe West (cops who are way in over their heads but do their best regardless)
>Krim and Wells (SECRETS)
Rest of those comparisons are kind of a stretch though. Shinnosuke and Barry are pretty different characters.
So how about them Kamen Riders?
>tfw because all the riders are using their shows theme song we'll never hear any of Toshiya Igarashis cool insert songs for Black or any of the ones for RX
And when the fuck are we getting another Cyborg Rider? Heisei could use ONE
TV Asahi is play safe by avoiding all the possible bashing from the humanity groups, which could cause trouble to other programs of the same network.
Apparently exchanging punches is going to be part of the "to go" list.
>Hey that top thing is an Rider Club Radio wallpaper.
I did not know that. I got it and a bunch of other wallpapers from /krg/ months ago. I don't particularly know or care about RCR and thought it was just a decent Rider 1.
Some people like to make literal copypaste themes with the exact same shit and change the top screen between static images but I don't. If you want to make a request look at >>13840476
I wonder if it's like US TV where they can get away with killing things as long as they're not human. Like, "You can't have him punch the enemy. Oh, the enemy is a monster? Well, that's alright."
Is that also why all the villains are looking less humanoid and more like Sentai MOTWs?
All it would take is for a negative consumer reaction to such a decision. Money talks, and if TV-A loses money from banning fistfights, they'll backtrack
Maybe. I know American TV, especially when it comes to animation, supposedly gets away with a lot more when the target isn't human. Like, in BTAS they always had Scarface get ripped to pieces because he was a puppet so they could get away with it.
Not just TV, but with comics too.
Colour of the blood is partially the reason, I'm guessing.
>by avoiding all the possible bashing from the humanity groups
Maybe it's the sleep deprivation finally setting in, but I don't understand what you mean by this. Are cybernetics simply a no-no and viewed as if you're destroying your humanity?
Which new heisei and old heisei had the best first episode?
For Phase 1... Probably Agito or Kabuto. Now that I think about it though, most early Heisei first episodes weren't all that exciting to me.
For Phase 2 I'm gonna go with Gaim, actually. Kouta not knowing shit about how to use his powers was a more relatable debut than usual, and I liked that.
Also, the retroactive friend murdering is pretty cool, too.
>Heisei 1st - Agito or Blade
>Heisei 2nd - W or Wizard
That's a bit of an exaggeration.
galileo in play gg no re
Some people were talking about 2chan rumours, they saw Phillip and Shotaro's actors on set. Shotaro transformed with the Lost Driver but they brought a guy out in Skull's suit so people thought it was AR.
But even them being rumours on 2chan might just be part of some anon's lie.
>Rider pre-driver gets ass beat by monsters
>Rider henshins once or twice
>Rider is suddenly able to get the better of the monsters pre-henshin, kicking them around and creating space to henshin no prob
When I see "henshin" written out in English I now read it like the Fourze dub.
Was that your plan?
do u think takeru and makotonichan will find personalities in the world of the ganma
what if the twist is ghost is actually a direct sequel to wizard and the ganmas want despair
nah cause wizard at least had donuts and beast to carry it
at the very least they shouldve made ghost about being spooky imo
How would you write pre-Decade rider "Movie War" movies?
>Kuuga & Agito
>Agito & Ryuki
>Ryuki & Faiz
>Faiz & Blade
>Blade & Hibiki
>Hibiki & Kabuto
>Kabuto & Den-O
I haven't looked into it but there could be some part of the hoodie permanently bonded to the under-suit, restricting their in-show combinations.
That was the case for Gaim's fruit arms
>Musashi, Robin, and Benkei are getting the Boost treatment
>Billy doesn't get to dual wield with Sunglasslasher
>Newton doesn't get to make black holes with gravity
even though he didn't make that concept.
The only one that looks like it might have a connection to the undersuit is Ryouma because of the shoulderpads.
The real hindrance would depend on how they construct the helmets. If it's all one piece then they would have to make a separate helmet without the Boost red color around the chin and sides.
>Agito & Ryuki
Exactly like the existing one.
I love the interactions between these two.
Sound version >>>/wsg/935529
>Unknown are the cutest monsters
That is honestly something I never expected to hear.
I dunno, I guess it's the more human form they have compared to most other monsters from Kamen Rider. I find some weird shit cute.
>scariest mother fuckers
Only some of them have spooky designs. Even then the only scary monster I can think of is that laughing one with the gun in ryuki.
Oh and Daguva.
Someone explain to me why his debut was so shit your pants frightening,
The human look doesn't really work for me, since they act noticeably less human than the monsters from right before.
It works for the Gurongi and Lords because thedy have slight relation to humans.
Gurongi are Tribal members altered by Space Metal into taking the feature and abilities of "Their" animal..
Lords are a twist on God's Messengers, instead of the classic idea of Angels being Humans, it's Humanoid Animals. I would assume this would mean all Animals Apex is a Humanoid form and the step further is making them an Angel.
>Thought you wrote Ouija
A Kamen Rider Ouija in Ghost sounds nice. However trying to integrate a whole ouija board onto a belt, bracer or other device sounds like a daunting task. Also I wouldn't be able to get away from interpretting it in my head as Kamen Rider Weegee.
I guess you can limit what his Ouija device can do. Like instead of having the whole alphabet you can use just numbers. Have to rotable number slots like there are on number protected padlocks. Make the number of the Eyecon you would like to call out to and scan over the number with your pointer. If Ouija has an Eyecon, his can just be 00.
Only problem is not every Eyecon is designated with a number outside the random 15. So unless the device translates those other Eyecons into numbers, you would have to come up with something else or leave the device limited to those 15. Maybe do a bracer + driver combo.
Also, there needs to be a "Transform" and "Omega Drive" somewhere on the device to scan over. Like how "Yes" and "No" are common written phrases on ouija boards. Maybe "Goodbye" couldbe the de-transformation.
That Mars suit got some mileage on it.
as an example, there's Type Shadow from ToQger. Slim down the suit, change the belt's shape but keep the same design (eyecon slot behind the enter button) and have the helmet be similar to Necrom.
She's pretty low-class at the start, but moves up through the ranks by being useful. Daguva is the bossman. Other Grongi look down on planners and schemers, like that one hacker who made planes crash.
Wolves are boring and played out.
I'm hoping for a Kangaroo.
I don't know. Hopefully better than an elephant.
HOW did Agito have such a great combo of amazing designs and great suit matierals? Usually there's a trade, great design, not great materials, or they look bad compared to modern stuff, but man, the Lords and Gills and Another all look fucking great, even today.
>There STILL isn't a Sports themed Rider Series.
Shame really, I can see it going down the Ryuki or Gaim route, if only because we'd get a Scottish Rider with a form based on Caber Tossing.
I'd rather them pull another Wizard/Kiva than do a Strictly Sport themed Rider. There are so many other good choices that would be better and fit Rider.
Hell I'd take a Cartoon or Doctor theme Rider before Sport.
I like this idea. Reminds me of my idea for Kamen Rider Willowisp. the weapons I went with were a pair of pistols that turned into dowsing rods and that could be used as handles for Willowisps Gadget Animals to attach to.
Kuuga did really well, it revived the Kamen Rider series, so they went all out, I assume. Then they realized they don't need to put so much effort after Ryuki as long as they showcase toy gimmicks.
>You will never play as Hyper Gattack in a rider game
>CSM Gattack won't be able to use the Hyper Zector
>Kenzaki was hot headed and akward at the start of the show. Didn't truly know what he was fighting for either.
>Tachibana was a coward and was incredibly hostile towards others, except for sayako.
>Chalice didn't understand humans but was intrested in them, treated everyone as his enemy.
>Mutsuki was touched as a kid.
>Yamato Takeru, the Brave of Yamato, is the title given to a legendary prince named Ōsu, who defeated his enemies valiantly in his father's name. When he died, his spirit turned into a great white bird.
>Kenzaki became much more mature, he found his reason to fight; protect his friends. Even
sacrificing himself to save his friends.
>Tachibana became a hero, loved his friends and wanted to help them in anyway he could.
Even if it meant almost being beaten to death and falling off a cliff. He placed his comrades lives in front of his own.
Joker began to love being a human cared more about Amane and her mother then himself. Misses Kenzaki dearly, but accepts what happened in the end.
Yeah I know, we're on our third Takeru
Why are most of the heisei 2 final forms so bad?
Kabuto and Den O is the only one I really feel like we missed out on. The Denliner and all the imagin get trainnapped again by hyper speed ruffians from another planet. It's up to Den O to find other kamen riders which leads him to the only one who's willing: Kagami.
Tendou then just shows up and begins to kick ass as he is known to do. It would follow the four main riders (Kabuto, Den O, Gattack and Zeronos). There would be this underlying rivalry between Kabuto and Den O as Ryotaro is able to do things Tendou cannot (maybe tendou almost gets erased and saved by Den O) which will lead to a theme that Kabuto needs no one to help him while Den O believes in the help of others.
There would also be paralells between Den O/Zeronos partnership and the Kabuto/Gattack partnership.
Den O would get a new form as Yuuto allows Deneb to bond with him so Ryotaro isn't completely useless. (not sure what the weapon could be) as well as a scene where kabuto and Gattack switch eachothers zecters and use eacothers individual fighting styles.
The film would end with a fight between Den O and Kabuto. There'd be a scene where kabuto does a rider kick to Climax Form and you'd then just hear Momotaros with Kabutos foot in his face as he turns and begins to lay down a rage filled beat down. Two alternate endings, One where Den O wins and talks about thr strength of friendship and one where kabuto wins and talks about how one must be personally stronger to protect those he loves.
How many Rider bikes could actually pass for street legal? Hibiki cheats because his bike is just a stock cruiser, but what about the others?
I know body kit laws are different all over the world, but I'd say the Hardboilder and Skullboilder would be fine pretty much anywhere.
It was once his loving sister's doll. Later she turned into a colossal bitch, so he murdered her in a house fire before she became even more of a bitch. The puppet lost its hair n' shit in the fire and it's a reminder that the end of all things is the only way to preserve its perfection, because it never lasts.
Basically, Maki is one fucked up individual.
What you should be asking yourself is why the puppet has a creepy as human?
Do you guys think the CSM Double Driver is worth the price? Double is one of my favorite seasons and the CSM version makes the DX look like a cheap toy in comparison. Even so, I'm not sure if it's -that- big of an upgrade to justify spending $200 for.
why does turn up scrubs not put a black fucking outline on the subs
Because he had more elements.
>Super TaToBa: Time
OOO has the most amount of applications out of any Rider. Decade would be tops but he has a lot of redundancies.
Fourze has a lot, but half of his gear's useless most of the time.
Decade is still at top because his shit is easy to use. The OOO driver would take forever to learn how to use to its full potential and most would probably just stick to a few combo changes.
So why did the Showa riders seem so out of character in this movie?
Decade is literally the best at supporting other Riders. No other Rider excels in this field than he does.
He has intimidate knowledge on every Rider's fighting style, allowing him to back them up appropriately. He can perform Final FormRides, which allows them to defeat opponents that might be way out of their league. He even has cards that exist for the purpose of strengthening other Riders, such as the AttackRide: Gaga no Udewa card. And Strongest Complete Form can immediately bring other Riders to their ultimate forms.
Eiji was considered to be an ideal user of the belt due to his lack of desire. He could use it to its full potential without the potential risks that it might bring. Unfortunately, that lack of desire is also what resulted in his vulnerability to the Dinosaur Medals.
Latoratah had wind powers due to it's speed and Kazari could make tornadoes.
I'd also say that there were void aspects to puttotyranosaurus.
I'd say most of that is due to how untrained and unknowledgable Eiji was with the belt as well as the fact he was only ever at full power during Megamax.
I do think that Eiji could stand a chance against Decade. Where Decade is the destroyer of riders, Eiji fully and honestly embodies the rider spirit of giving everything for the greater good, seeing the good in the most evil of creatures but still doing what needs to be done for everyone. Where Decade was made as the antithesis rider, Eiji is THE rider without any gimmick of it taped on.
No, it was a completely incorrect translation. He said "Wow, that's not the first time someone's said that" in their translation, but in the actual script/captions, he says "Hey, maybe you can finally let me die." It's a bit of a one-liner, but combined with a lot of other remarks throughout the movie, it's very obvious he's sincere and wants to die. All of his friends are pretty much gone/dead, he's got a stalking asshole who keeps slandering him, and he's pretty much the loneliest Rider around.
The whole otaku-culture, metafiction, tokusatsu trope parody premise that Akibaranger had. I think we don't need to see another one with Rider because they would both cover around the same material, and the only new stuff the Rider element would add has already been parodied by the Net Movies.
I'm all for an "unofficial" Kamen Rider spinoff, but I definitely want it to go in a different direction than Akiba or After V.
>Kaneda-san, why are you filming my scenes last?
>tfw I'm 19 now
>Haven't destroyed any worlds yet
I feel so worthless.
>tfw 32 in two weeks
>monsters have body snatched actual law enforcers, detectives, and jurors
>Rider's belt prevents him from finishing monsters right away
>he must comprise a case with evidence to prove their guilt
>later in the series a defense attorney rider shows up
>fights become a mix of one on one brawls while countering each other's evidence
>belt shouts out GUILTY when it's time for the finisher, followed by either the sound of a gavel or a guillotine falling
>the man who supplied the belts was the big bad all along so that true justice may be discovered once and for all
To the anon who suggested rider club radio the other day
Thanks man, really enjoying them
>mfw we won't get a rider with more American boxing in his fighting style.
I already miss Date.
A rider based around fighting styles/kung fu/martial arts would be cool but I doubt it will ever happen
Most Riders tend to fight with their own skills, with a few exceptions. Barring stuff like W and Ghost, when a Rider fight, that's the actual character fighting, rather than the suit magically giving them fighting skills.
Otherwise, it kind of diminishes the worth of the user.
>Is the Emperor of the Shadow Line
>Reincarnated as a pseudo-Greeed
>Resurrected as a jacket ghost
>Alternate reality self is Birth
Rider and Nobunaga has a funny relationship.
I got Ore and the Ghost Driver in another room right now, and I have Goemon and W coming later.
Also ignore Megatron please, I had nowhere else to put him
>both the shiny and regular W eyecons sell out the day the I get paid
>both were in stock yesterday
It hurts so bad.
Not that anon but welcome to the club of, like, seven people who actually listen to it.
I'm missing Musashi, and I have Goemon, Incredible Ryoma, Houdini and Gaim on the way
